Microchipping your pet increases the chances of identifying them should they ever become lost. The microchip is cylinder in shape, containing an electronic chip that transmits an identification number when scanned. It is placed between the shoulders of your pet using a needle with minimal discomfort. The identification number will contain your information so your pet can be traced back to you. It's important to make sure this information is kept up to date.
