Fredrick has been with us since October 10th, making him one of our long-term residents. He’s a fun, energetic, entertaining, love bug that could be your new bestie. His adoption fee is 20% off, & we would love for him to have a family of his own.

🌟 Exciting News! Warrick Humane Society at the Women's Club of Newburgh Craft Show! 🌟

Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 22, 2025! Warrick Humane Society will be at Castle High School for the 31st Annual Women’s Club of Newburgh Craft Show from 9 AM to 4 PM.

We’ll have all kinds of goodies, including our popular Support Local T-shirts, personalizable bandanas for your pets, handmade wreaths, reusable paper towels, adoptable stuffed animals for kids, and even some puppy snuggles. There’s something for everyone, so don’t miss out!

Admission is just $3, and Half Pot tickets will be available at the event. It’s a great chance to shop, support local crafters, and learn more about how you can help animals in need.

🐾Meet Butters🐾

Butters, previously known as Pumba, is an 8 month old Golden Retriever mix who has been returned to us due to no fault of his own. His brother, now Marley and previously Timon, has also been returned to our care. They are both looking for their forever home!

Butters is up to date on vaccines, deworming, prevention and is microchipped and neutered! In his previous home Butters did great with kids, all people, and dogs! He also does fine with cats but he does want to chase them to play. He is house trained, kennel trained, and knows sit, shake, and lay down

🐾Meet Wilbur🐾

Wilbur is a 3 year old, 15lb Shih-tzu who has been returned to us due to the owners not being able to provide him the attention and care he needs.

Wilbur is up to date on vaccines, deworming, prevention and is microchipped and neutered! In the home he did great with all people, kids, and dogs. He is house-trained but only on a very strict schedule and he does have accidents due to anxiety sometimes. He does have some separation anxiety.

🐾Meet Tobie🐾

Tobie is a 1 year old Domestic Shorthair who was surrendered to us and is ready for a forever home!

Tobie is up to date on vaccines, deworming, prevention and is neutered! He is nervous here in the cat room, but if you approach him he is very loving and loves chin scratches! He grew up in a home with several dogs, so he loves dogs (and probably thinks he is one)! He loved playing with the dogs and with laser lights.

Ember is a 6.5 year old Domestic Shorthair who was originally adopted from us as Jane. Unfortunately her owner passed away so she is now looking for a new home.

Ember is up to date on vaccines and is spayed! She is front declawed. After being used to living in a home, she is not taking the transition to the shelter well. She is really stressed and scared here. She needs a home where she can be comfortable and loved!

🐾Meet Flossie🐾

Flossie is a 1 year old, 21lb Beagle mix we took in along with her puppy in early January. She and her puppy each got adopted to what they thought would be their furever homes, but unfortunately Flossie has been returned due to some severe separation anxiety.

When Flossie originally arrived at our shelter she was terrified, but she has made huge improvements since! She is a lot more comfortable around people and loves to spend time with you. She still takes some time to warm up to new people, but is getting better every day! She will need some help with her separation anxiety, but otherwise is just the sweetest girl. She is completely potty trained and does well in her kennel as long as someone is home. We suspect that she may do better if she has a doggie companion at home to keep her company! She loves other dogs.

Flossie is up to date on vaccines, deworming, prevention, spayed, and microchipped. She is ready to find her true forever family!

A HUGE shout out to Daisy's New Beginnings for donating $800 towards Jack's surgery. We greatly appreciate your support and continued care of the animals in need!

🐾💙 $5 Friday: Help Jack Get the Surgery He Needs! 💙🐾

Jack needs your help! This sweet boy was recently returned to Warrick Humane Society after his elderly owner could no longer care for him. He’s been with us for two months, and recently, we noticed something alarming—Jack was peeing blood. 💔

After an urgent trip to Warrick Vet Clinic, he was diagnosed with bladder stones too large to pass on their own, requiring life-saving surgery. The exam and diagnostics alone cost us $444, and today, Jack is on his way to Fort Branch for his $750 surgery.

As a no-kill, nonprofit shelter with no government funding, we rely on our community’s generosity to help pets like Jack get the medical care they desperately need.
