Series 3 Master National Water
Congrats to Carronade Retriever pups, Bling and Jack! Both received pewter plates and passed a very difficult, and challenging 5 series national.
This is Jack and Beth Blair runnning Flight G, 3rd series. It consisted of a remote sit, (handler is behind hay bales with dog in front as the birds go down) water triple and water blind. The test was a bit technical with re-entries and angle entries. 40ish dogs out of 132 completed the 5 series and went home with pewter plates!
Jack and Beth running the Master National. This is the 4th Series for flight G. A very tight out of order interrupted flyer. Double blind and honor. This is at Yvonne Hayes’s gorgeous property in Pavo, Georgia. The order is middle short bird, Flyer then swing left for go bird. Pick up the mark, then run the under the arc blind, then pick up the flyer and the short check down bird and run the blind that is under the arc of the flyer😳 who the heck set this test up🤷🏻♀️ Jack ran dog number 2. Woot!
Pre-National training at Bois Dog Ranch, Thomasville, GA. This is Jack.
Last day in The Land, before heading to the Master National.
Training on a delayed quad.
Day 1 of pre, pre-master National commences at the beautiful, Red Dog Ranch. We set-up a land triple. Walk-up short bird, middle flyer and long pheasant as the last bird down.
Pickup long bird past flyer, then short check-down bird and the flyer last. This is Jack running. Not great video from the long station.
Field Dog Life
Pre-training drill for the Master National Retriever Stake.
Cross wind blind after a poison bird was shot from the right side from the bank into the water. The wind blew the bird quite a ways from its initial splash/land (sometimes it’s good practice to make a pinpoint marking dog handle on a mark).
The blind went well, through cattails past point on right side and over a point across and then put and up to the top of the mound. The camera lady forgot where the blind was, so ignore the commentary🤣
Good thing handler Beth Blair knew where it was🤣
Buckeye Retriever Club had their first field trial in quite a few years. We had a Derby/Qualifying event and it was a great weekend! Here are a few shots from the event!
Thank you to Doug and Danielle Wilson for the use of their property!
Congrats to all the placements at the Manitowoc Retriever Club Open! Especially to my friend, Wendy Bicknell! Handler Craig Crook and Rush received the big blue! Patsy finished again with a JAM. It must have been close as it took the judges two hours for all the placements.
Thank you to all the hard workers, club and judges for your time!
Cocomotive did a very nice Hunt Test set-up.
Happy Birthday, Kizzi x Mully puppies. You are the last edition. I will miss raising this breeding. Wonderful puppies!

Congrats to Carronade’s All that Glitters, MH aka Bling and Jill Volsch/Beth Beth Meaney on her qualifying pass for the Master National 2020! Bling has qualified for three Master Nationals. Not bad for a three year old!
#Abbi is back to the last series in the 83 dog Snowbird Open! Go Andy and Abbi! Michael Garrity
Congrats to Steve Brenner and Gynny on their FC and Amateur 3rd at Iron Range! Gynny is a littermate to Jack and out of our Cori who Steve purchased and bred to Stinger!
