Trumpeter showed up at WEC! We had a great week with lots of firsts and great memories! Here’s the rundown:

Stallone BZ, owned by Anna Rabets, moved up to the 3’ and was CHAMPION with Lindsey in the Non-TB hunters!

Dolphin Blue competed his first WEC and he and Eilah scored a brilliant 82 during their Children’s Hunter Classic!

Circee de Valmont Z and Shana competed in the Novice and Low Children’s jumpers. They were 2nd in their Classic!

Zanzibar 74 and Cassie competed in the Novice and Low Adult jumpers. They were 3rd and 5th in their Classics!

Cornus Alba D’Or and Stacey competed in their first hunter WEC show. They were 9th in Nonpro Derby with a first round score of 85! They also WON the Ariat medal and put in great rounds in the Amateur Owner division.

Our last outdoor show of the year is a wrap! Here’s the rundown:

Cornus Alba D’Or and Stacey were CHAMPIONS of the A/O hunters and CHAMPIONS of the combined Performance hunters!

Zanzibar 74 and Cassie were CHAMPIONS of the Low C/A jumpers!

Dolphin Blue was RESERVE CHAMPION of the combined Green hunters! Dolphin and Eilah also had a fabulous showing in the combined C/A hunters and was 5th in their Classic!

Ruby Slippers and Gianna had a great show in the Limit rider and Short stirrup divisions! Gianna also WON the Outreach Medal class!

Ciano and Christie were super handy in the Intermediate C/A jumpers!

Congrats everyone! We can’t wait to head to WEC next!

Two for two! Congrats again to Stacey and Cornus Alba D’Or on their second derby ride and second derby win at the OPHA show held at CVF! Trumpeter riders, Jessie and Eilah were 4th and 5th respectively!

Rated Week Results:
Circee de Valmont Z and Shana had their best show to date! Earning CHAMPIONSHIPS in the Low Child/Adult jumpers and the .90-.95m Jumpers!

Could Be Good and Cassie were CHAMPIONS of the Intermediate Rider division! And 4th in the Non-pro Derby!

Promise and Ann were RESERVE CHAMPIONS of the Non-Pro division and 9th in the Non-pro Derby!

Overexaggerator and Kelly were RESERVE CHAMPIONS of the Limit Rider division!

Cornus Alba D’Or and Stacey rode in their first National Derby (first derby for either!) and WON! They also put in great rounds in the Adult Hunters. They also WON 🥇 the Adult eq on the flat and the NAHRA!

Dolphin Blue and Eilah were in the ribbons in all of their Children’s hunter rounds! They were 7th in the combined C/A classic and 9th in the National derby!

Ciano and Christie had super rounds in the Intermediate C/A jumpers and earned two 2nds🥈!

Zanzibar 74 and Cassie had nice rounds in the Low C/A jumpers, and earned two 2nds 🥈!

Way to go everyone!!! We’re so proud of you all!

WPaPHA is a wrap! Here are the results:
Unrated Day:
Stacey and Cornus Alba D’Or moved to the hunter ring to expand Dior’s horizons. Unfortunately for Stacey (a diehard jumper rider) he flourished. They were CHAMPIONS of the Adult Hunter division. Stacey also WON🥇 in the Adult Eq flat and NAHRA medal!
Cassie and Could Be Good were CHAMPIONS of the Intermediate Rider division.
Kelly and Overexaggerator competed in their first jumping classes together and were CHAMPIONS of the Limit Rider division!
Ann and Promise had great rounds in the Intermediate Rider division and WON🥇 the equitation on the flat!
Eilah and Dolphin Blue earned top ribbons in the Children’s Hunter division!

Huge Congratulations to Stacey and Cornus Alba D’Or who WON the National Derby this evening at the WPaPHA show at CVF with scores of 85 and 91! Way to walk right back into the hunter ring like a veteran! Eilah and Dolphin Blue also picked up a 9th in the derby!

What a great 2 weeks at the Chagrin Hunter Jumper Classic! Here’s the rundown!

Week 2:
Circee de Valmont Z and Shana were CHAMPIONS in the Low Children’s Jumpers!
Zanzibar 74 and Cassie were CHAMPIONS of the Low Adult Jumpers!
Cornus Alba D’Or and Stacey put in great rounds in the Low Adult Jumpers, winning🥇a class!
Overexaggerator put in fantastic rounds in the Baby Green Hunters, winning 🥇 a class! He also placed third in the hack with his owner, Kelly!
Ciano and Christie had consistently great rides in the combined Intermediate Child/Adult Jumpers and celebrated Christie’s birthday with a third place🥉in a large class!
Stallone BZ and Anna competed in the Non-pro and Low Adult Hunters with great placings for their second time out!
Dolphin Blue and Eilah competed in a tough Children’s division earning ribbons in almost every class they entered! Dolphin also put in lovely rounds in the 3’ Green division!

What a great 2 weeks at the Chagrin Hunter Jumper Classic! Here’s the rundown!
Week 1:
Ruby Slippers and Gianna were CHAMPIONS of the W/T/C cross rails winning almost every class of the division! AND it was Gianna’s FIRST show ever! Lucy also competed with Julia in the Limit Rider and earning great ribbons!
Could Be Good and Cassie WON the 2’6” derby!
Ciano and Christie were very competitive in a large Intermediate Child/Adult Jumper division, winning a first 🥇and second🥈!
Stallone BZ and Anna competed in their first show and had great rounds in the USHJA 2’3” and Low Adult Hunters!
Dolphin Blue and Eilah were last minute adds to the show as Eilah returned to town the night before the show (after being away for a month!) to compete in the Children’s Hunters!
Overexaggerator got our “most improved” award when he moved up to the 2’3” Baby Greens at his second show! And was such a good boy for his owner, Kelly!

Zanzibar 74 and Cassie were RESERVE champions of the Low Child/Adult Jumpers!
Dolphin Blue was RESERVE champion of the 3’ Green Hunters with !
Dolphin Blue and Eilah also put it great rounds in the 3’ Children’s Equitation division, 3’ Children’s hunters and National Derby!!

What a week at Brave Horse 1! Lots of firsts and many accomplishments! Here’s the rundown:

Westeros and Jessie were RESERVE champions of the 3’ Low hunters. They also competed in their first National Derby where they took 5th! They placed well in the Adult hunters, winning the hack!
Zanzibar 74 and Cassie moved up to the Low Adult jumpers and rocked it! They got top ribbons in all their classes!
Dolphin Blue and Eilah competed in their first show together AND Eilah moved up to the Children’s hunters! They competed in their first National Derby as well! So excited to watch this team come together! They have a bright future!
Circee de Valmont Z and Shana moved up to the Children’s jumpers! They had a great time learning the ropes (and winning 2nd!) and looked fantastic doing it!
Cornus Alba D’or and Stacey competed in the Low Adult jumpers and placed well in all her classes!
Last but not least, our newest show pony, Overexaggerator, showed in the Future hunters at his very first show ever! He also competed with his owner, Kelly, in a few flat classes in their first show together! Both were calm, cool and collected (a few nice ribbons!).
Congratulations to all our horses and riders! Looking forward to Brave Horse 2 this week!

CVF Circuit Championship Show was great for Trumpeter Stables competitors!

Zanzibar 74 was CHAMPION of the Training Jumpers with a clean sweep of his classes, and was also circuit RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION of the Training jumpers! He and Cassie won a class and were in the top placings in all their classes! They’re a great team!

Cornus Alba D’Or and Stacey were RESERVE CHAMPION in the Child/Adult jumpers, as well as circuit GRAND CHAMPION of the Medium Schooling jumpers and RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION of the Child/Adult jumpers!

Recently imported Dolphin Blue, owned by Eilah and Ann Epstein, attended his first show in the states AND had his first hunter rounds ever! He was a super star earning top placings in the Greens. We are so excited for his future!

Recently SOLD Domino Z was also circuit RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION of the Medium Schooling jumpers!

Congrats to all our competitors! As always, thank you to our fearless leader, trainer Patrick Swann, for everything! We are excited for summer shows and moving OUTSIDE! Bring on the sunshine! ☀️

A little late, but we had a great show last week at WEC! Here’s the rundown:

SALE HORSE, Domino Z was Reserve Champion of the 1.20m division with professional, Richard Rhinehart. And Reserve Champion of the Low Jr/Am division, winning the 1.25m classic his first time out!

Circee de Valmont Z and Shana put in great rounds and collected lots of ribbons in the large Novice and Low Children’s jumper divisions! Earning a 3rd and 5th in her classics!

Zanzibar 74 and Cassie attended their 2nd show as a pair and had a great experience! Not a rail all weekend! We’re excited about this pair’s progress!

Maverick is a 16-year-old thoroughbred gelding. At 15.3, Maverick is big bodied, more closely resembling a warmblood in build, and takes up your leg well! Maverick jumps a 10, with sharp even knees, at every height. He has a ground covering stride and easy lead changes. He was in the top placings with his intermediate rider her first time out in the Children’s division. Maverick can be very handy and would do well in the equitation classes. Julia Warholic and her family have always exceedingly wonderful barn members. Always happy to lend a hand, or be a cheering section at the horse shows. We’re so lucky to have them! We also want to wish Julia the best of luck on her surgery tomorrow and her upcoming recovery. We can’t wait until she’s back in the saddle!

Meet Alymar’s Mad Love! A lovely 11-year-old, 16.0+ chestnut, OTTB mare. She is a 2’6”-2’9” packer, who is the perfect first show horse for a beginner moving up. With auto lead changes and a heart of gold, Alley’s forgiving attitude gave confidence to a timid rider to take her from short stirrup to the low children’s, and derby classes in under a year. Alley takes minimal show prep. She clips, loads, stand for the farrier, does turn out well alone or with a group, and is easy to be around. She moves into new show facilities without blinking an eye and always performs well. We have nothing but nice things to say about this mare and she’s ready to teach her next rider the ropes. We had an awesome time at WEC last week! Many class wins and top placings in some big competitive classes. Highlights include:

Domino Z taking home reserve champion in the 1.20 Jumpers
Alymar’s Mad Love & Eilah getting fourth in the 2’6 Derby as well as winning a class
Circee De Valmont Z and Shana won a class as well and brought home third in their novice child/adult jumper classic

We couldn’t be more proud of how hard everyone has worked these last two weeks full of showing and can’t wait to get back to it shortly!

Next up: Clinic with Olympian Joe Fargis at the end of the month 🥇

We had such a fun time at CVF this past weekend! Lots of ribbons, great rounds, and hard work paying off

Echo had his first horse show and was fabulous grabbing Reserve Champion in the Baby Greens and having great rounds with his owner, Julia in the Limit Rider
Westeros brought home Champion in the Low Hunters and the Child/Adult Hunters with his owner Jessie
Ciano also brought home a Champion ribbon in the Int. Child/Adult Jumpers with his owner Christie, winning EVERY class in the division
Dior also brought home a Champion Ribbon in the Low Child/Adult Jumpers with his owner Stacey
Alymar’s Mad Love had great rounds all weekend with her owner Eilah at only their second show at 2’6
Finally, our honorary barn member, Larry, participated in Adult Leadline and tied for first!

We can’t wait to get back to it in a few weeks and couldn’t be more proud of everyone and their hard work!

Super proud of Shana today hitting the ring for the first time on her new mount, Circee! It takes some serious dedication to get into the ring not two months into a new partnership. Can’t wait to continue watching how these two grow together!

An absolutely lovely feature on a program we feel LUCKy to be a part of. Delon and @luck4kids are near and dear to our hearts and this video feature from Fox8 gives a small glimpse to how horses can impact lives in such a great way. Delon and Lucy (as well as Promise, featured at the start of this clip) have such a lovely connection and we just love teaching him. It’s always incredible to be able to see the payoff of hard work in the show ring especially! @fox8newscleveland

We are SO proud of this kid! Eilah and Alymar’s Mad Love had great trips this weekend and really worked hard ending up with a Champion Ribbon. We love watching them grow together in the ring! Next up: Tryon in May 🤩 Ann Colan Epstein

So proud of all the riders at the Chagrin Valley Farms May schooling show. Particular shout out to Delon Hendricks on Zanzibar 74. First time jumping this horse in competition, fourth time riding this horse (ever), first time over .65m. BTW—there is no such thing as a push button horse.
