Kitten season is exploding, and we need our community more than ever.
We’re already seeing a 44% increase in neonatal kittens this year — 358 fragile babies so far — and we’ve officially passed 10,000 kittens saved since opening our doors nearly 20 years ago.

Our annual Labor of Love – Black Cat Blast on October 24th is what keeps our neonatal hospital running through the busiest months of the year. We’re looking for local businesses, farms, breweries, shops, and community partners who want to stand with us and help save the tiniest lives in our region.

Kitten Central is once again honored to receive support this year from the Carmen Tindall Wilson Trust Fund through the Placer Community Foundation. Their generous grant of more than $4,700 helps cover the cost of FVRCP vaccines and blood tests for our kittens.

Because of this annual gift, our little ones can begin their lives healthy, protected, and ready for a bright future. We are deeply grateful to everyone who plays a part in making this possible each year.

Always happy to support other non-profits doing great work. Please meet FUR-Friends United in Rescue, Inc in Chico. They formed right after the Paradise fire and have been doing incredible work ever since. They always have a few kitties for adoption, but this group really focuses on TNR. They have spayed and neutered thousands of cats since 2019. Last night was their first fundraiser dinner, and Sam and I attended. We couldn't be prouder of their group! This lovely group works in Chico!
