On December 12th at 5pm at LHS farm,we will be having a bonfire for this month’s chapter meeting! During this meeting we will be recognizing this year’s chapter degree recipients! If you think you qualify for the chapter degree, please fill out the form by December 11th. After the meeting is finished Mr Hess will be bbqing tri-tip sandwiches! Hope to see you there!!

Celebrating a True Hometown Hero 🌟

The California Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee was honored to present the 2024 Hometown Hero Award to Walter Hardesty of Sacramento County Farm Bureau during this year’s Annual Meeting. This award, established in memory of Randy Rocca, celebrates those who render exceptional service to the YF&R program and young Farm Bureau members. Randy's legacy of kindness, dedication, and support lives on through leaders like Walter.

For over 21 years, Walter has been a steadfast supporter of Sacramento County Young Farmers and Ranchers, generously offering his family’s property for the committee’s annual BBQ fundraiser and contributing to leadership development efforts. He and his wife, Kathy, have continually gone above and beyond to strengthen the next generation of farmers and ranchers.

Congratulations, Walter, and thank you for your incredible commitment to YF&R and California agriculture!👏
