Cattle: Dave Guyer

Dave is the owner and operator of Guyer Cattle Co. near Robinson, Illinois. What started as a simple 4-H project has now grown into a successful, family-oriented livestock business where Dave and his wife, Lucy, market and sell many many show cattle each year. The Guyer Girls, Ashtin and Nalaney, both show cattle and pigs competitively at the highest level across the nation. Along with GCC, the Guyers also own Natural Solutions for Livestock, a company that encompasses a wide range of innovative livestock products including Extreme Natural Stride, GLUCoat, Hide & Hair and Stretch. Dave also is the general manager for SC Online Sales which is the go-to online sales company for all species of livestock. Dave enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for the cattle industry, and through his working relationship with Show-Rite Feeds he has the opportunity to travel across the country working with other cattle enthusiasts.

Goat Specialists: Scott & Erica Batchelder

Scott and Erica Batchelder are located in Orland, CA with their son, Bennett, where they are the owners of Starpoint Livestock. Starpoint Livestock is a small show goat operation as well as a livestock consulting business. They aid their customers in all things "show goats" at the county, state, and national level.

Erica has coached various goat showmen throughout the west coast and managed their animals from start to finish. She specializes in the showmanship and day to day management of their customers projects.

Scott comes from the show cattle side of things so it was only a natural transition to show goats. His specialties include clipping and fitting goats. Between the pair, Starpoint Livestock's goal is to provide a full service "show goat" experience.

Outside of livestock shows, Scott works full time for Byrd Cattle Company, LLC and Erica runs her own livestock media business, Erica Batchelder Livestock Media.

We look forward to having Scott, Erica, and the rest of our specialists join us to share their knowledge with the participants!
