While it is dogs and cats that we see the most, we do occasionally have some well behaved bunny boarders in from time to time! Miss Hazel is a frequent flier in boarding with us and she can win just about anyone over. It isn't every day that you see a bunny as well adjusted and fearless as Hazel - she absolutely loves to sprawl out on her belly and watch the world go by as our vets and assistants work. We think it's her version of watching television!
Here is a clip of part of Hazel's boarding routine with us (I like to call this Hazel trick "On the bus!") Bunnies take some extra care for handling to make sure we are protecting their backs and Hazel makes it so easy on us to rotate her to clean kennels! Of course, she also gets her daily pets and words of praise, as well as all the fun enrichment that her mom sends with her! She is so smart, silly, and sassy.
We look forward to seeing you again, Hazel!
If you ask Snoopy, the vet is one of his most favorite places! When he comes in for his visits, he makes a beeline for the back and when we're all done, he tries to turn back around to go see his friends again.
Thanks for being such a good boy, Snoops! We love your enthusiasm and your sweet personality!
Five new clinic cats that we will be treating, and finding homes! My favorite start to our day is kitten cuddles!
Cute Kittens!
We have two day old kittens at work! Everyone is bottle feeding every two hours, best day ever! I love our team always willing to jump in when they find animals in need of love and care. ❤️
If you ask Miss Scout, a couple vaccines are no big deal - especially with a yummy reward!
Good experiences at the vet early on play a significant part in making future visits easier on pet parents, pets, and veterinary teams especially in the event of stressful emergencies. We love being a part of creating those positive visits to help our patients become confident and comfortable at vet!
We look forward to seeing Scout again at her booster appointment!
No one makes better biscuits than Gracie! Anyone need some help in the kitchen for the holidays?
Hello Newport Hills family!
Our clinic works closely with the wonderful Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue and would like to see if we can help them find a foster for a special young dog!
This handsome lad is Morgan, an Australian Cattle Dog with an enormous amount of love to give! He is currently staying with us at the clinic and has yet to meet a human he doesn't want to be best friends with.
If you are interested in fostering this gentleman, please reach out to Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue!
They are also offering a monthly incentive for fostering him but we think Morgan himself is pretty great incentive! We just love him and would keep him here if we could, but he deserves a chance at a forever home and finding him a foster is the first step towards that dream!

Thank you everyone that visited us at Newcastle Days! As Ted could not be there in person we wanted to introduce you to him! Ted is 19 weeks old and is one of the rescues that needs a home currently saved by Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue, and currently at our clinic. While I am not sure how he does with cats, he sure loves his cat stuffed animals ❤️, he also loves attention! Please reach out if you are looking to grow your family!
It’s a sea of puppies here at Newport Hills! These were rescued from a puppy mill in Missouri. Unfortunately it was too late for the parents, yet these cute puppies were saved from a life of breeding in poor conditions by a Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue. Please reach out if you are interested in adopting, fostering or donating as they do wonderful work. Your adoption fee goes to all the vet care they need to ensure healthy, dental care, spaying/neutering, and saving more lives! Hear about these guys and more when you visit us and our team at Newcastle Days September 10th!
This is my new personal pup Rock & Roll Roxie (named by my five year old), Mateo at Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team got her to heal and sit in a day when I could barely get her to walk on a leash! Excited to keep sharing her progress and pictures of her adventures at work!
It’s National Pet Day! Here are some of our employees pets, please share your own!
Need a dose of kitten love? One of our Vet Assistants rescues them and finds good homes. Finding forever homes is a huge passion of our teams with all the rescue work we do. Always the highlight of our day!
