Located near the shores of Lake Ontario in Newfane, NY – we pride ourselves in breeding the finest Silver and Charcoal Labs in the Western New York area. Their striking and unusual color is the added bonus to owning a lab.
Our dogs truly live "a dogs life"... during the day running thru our 17 acres of fields and woods, or swimming in the pond... and at night sleeping at the foot of our bed. They do not live in a kennel and are not overbred. At most, we have 1–2 litters a year. These puppies are hand whelped in our home and daily handled and socialized. We are very selective in our choice of prospective owners as we want only the best for our puppies.
Our dogs are all AKC registered and come from the best lineage with strong hunting backgrounds. We have taken the time to investigate the parentage of each of our dogs so as to pass on only the best genes to our future litters.
We welcome you to visit our "kennel" to see our dogs first hand. We see your purchase of a pup from us as a lifetime commitment. First, from you – to give your new addition love and attention for his/her lifetime not only until their puppy looks are matured to a dog. Secondly, from us – we are here as support for you... for any questions or concerns that may arise. We are always willing to take back, without question, any pup that is not able to be loved to the fullest.
We love our labbies and are truly in the breeding of the silvers so that others can experience what we have. Silvers are just like chocolates (labs)... you can't stop at having just one!
– Cheri & Doug Klumpp
Silvers & Charcoals
Presently we know the Lab as being Black, Chocolate & Yellow as registerable colors with the AKC, although originally, they were bred to be just black in color. The first yellow came into existance in 1899, chocolates folowed in the 1930's . Both were met with reluctance & not immediately accepted into the AKC breed standard. Now Silvers & Charcoals are following in the footsteps of the pioneering Yellow and Chocolate ancestors.
At this time, because of the variations set forth in the breed standard of colors, Silvers will be registered as Chocolate and Charcoals as Black. Up until 1987, those that listed "silver" as the color of their Lab were able to register them as such with the AKC. The AKC currently recognizes the silver color as a shade of chocolate that ranges from sage to dark chocolate.

Zeus is the son of our own Remi (Retired) and R***r. He is being raised by our daughter and has grown up to be the perfect mix of his momma (he HAS to have a toy with him at all times) and daddy (blocky head, thick shiny coat, and ALWAYS giving kisses).
When he's not being a goofball or showing off all of his tricks, he's a very laid back 80lb lapdog. We can't wait to pass along his great looks and personality to future pups down the road!
Rigby is a Silver-Factored Chocolate, weighing in at 85 lbs. He is stocky, and well built with a thick chest and otter tail. He is a clown, and a toy hog.. .and I don't think he will ever grow up out of that puppy way of thinking! He demands your attention in a quiet way, pawing at you untill you pet him- a VERY handsome boy and a true "southern gentleman".
Rigby comes to us from Charcoal and Silver Labs in AR, the same breeder as our R***r. We can not thank Heather enough for the opportunity to raise another one of her boys and to be able to pass along those silver genes!
Kimber
A beautiful, stocky little girl, standing 21" at the shoulder with that short otter tail that does not stop wagging. Fun loving and full of spirit. She is currently weighing in at 85 lbs. She has great confirmation and a beautiful face. As she rarely stops moving she promises to be an excellent bird dog.
Her first litter was of 11 puppies! They all had beautiful blocky faces and amazing temperaments!
Rossi
Rossi is another one of our own... a well proportioned Silver girl that is a carbon copy of her momma, Kimber, in both looks and her loving nature. And her goofy personality comes right from her daddy, Wesson.
She weighs in at 80 lbs and is a carrier of the yellow gene. She's a wonderful addition to our breeding program and will produce some beautiful pups.
