https://linktr.ee/ashasfarmsanctuary Located in the heart of Niagara's orchards and vineyards, Asha's Farm Sanctuary is on 27-acres of cleared and wooded land, with a mission to begin the magic when people meet cows for the first time and see how friendly

, emotional and intelligent they are. They tell us with a loving kiss, a warm nudge, and a still look that captures our hearts and changes our minds forever. Asha's Farm Sanctuary provides refuge to rescued cows including a blind cow and some others with special needs. They all live at our sanctuary in peace and surrounded by love. We provide a safe place where people can meet these cows, establishing long lasting emotional relationships. We believe these human-animal connections will allow people to see these sweet, gentle cows as friends and not food, helping them to make the compassionate decision to go vegan. We help to educate the community on standard practices in the beef and dairy industry that are extremely cruel and the sentient nature of cows through our Meet a Cow, Kiss A Cow Day and COW FEST visitation programs that bring in thousands of people including children every year. We are in the final stages of constructing an Educational Center which includes a commercial kitchen, viewing area for an introductory/educational film on standard practices in animal agriculture, a gift shop, an educational area with books and videos, two bathrooms (one handicap accessible) and two outdoor patios where we will hold various events. Asha's Farm Sanctuary's future vision is to be a safe place for people to enjoy and explore nature by providing hiking trails on our 27 acre preserved forest. We hope you visit us soon!

Darsha's journey began on a dairy farm, where she was born blind and torn from her loving mother just hours after birth. The farmers, seeing her blindness as unprofitable, planned to end her life. Placed in a makeshift pen with other calves, she faced bullying and struggled to find milk.

But then, an angel intervened. Tracy received word of the farmers' dark plans and boldly asked them to let her rescue Darsha. Against all odds, they agreed.

Now, for over seven years, Darsha has thrived at Asha's Farm Sanctuary, surrounded by love and protection. We affectionately call her Princess Darsha, as she sees the world differently through her divine eye, a special white spot on her forehead.

Darsha sees only love and goodness in everyone she meets. Let's open our hearts and learn from these incredible beings.

Heartbreaking but hopeful, this is the story of Albert and his incredible rescuer, Tracy.

When Albert was just a newborn calf, he was torn from his mother at a cruel dairy farm, never getting the chance to experience the warmth of her love or the nourishment of her milk. Discarded and alone, he found himself in an auction house, shivering and crying out for the comfort he desperately needed. His umbilical cord still intact, he was fighting a battle he shouldn't have to face.

Tracy saw him there, a fragile soul on the brink of despair, and knew she had to act. Despite the vet's recommendation for euthanasia, she chose to listen to her heart and pray for a miracle. And that miracle came. Against all odds, Albert survived.

Today, as he approaches his 11th birthday, we celebrate not just his life, but the unbreakable bond between him and Tracy. Their journey is a testament to resilience, love, and the power of hope.

Let's spread the word about the importance of compassion and the strength found in every life.

At first, Leo couldn't believe his newfound freedom. He worried we would make him pull a wagon again. But guess what? He soon realized he was FREE forever.

Now, Leo the Lion, as we love to call him, enjoys life with no burdens, just sunny days and endless adventures.

In the quiet moments of life, we often forget the silent cries of those who suffer. This is the story of Moses, a once baby calf whose life changed forever the day he was torn away from his mother. As he walked up the hill, strong and beautiful, we remember when he was at that dairy farm and the tears that fell when he was chained in a cold, barren barn, longing for the warmth of his mother's embrace.

Tracy, our founder, heard his heart-wrenching cries and felt the weight of his despair. Faced with the cruel reality of being sold for cheap beef, she stepped in, determined to save him. Though she tragically couldn't save his mother, she brought Moses to our sanctuary—a place of hope where love prevails.

In those early days, Moses cried uncontrollably, his little heart broken. But then came Sindy, a mother cow who understood his pain. With gentle care, she took him under her wing, offering the love they both so desperately needed.

Today, Moses and Sindy stand together, inseparable, a testament to their enduring bond. Their story is a reminder of the love that can be found in the darkest of times-love that heals and never fades.

Join us in honoring their journey. Let's raise awareness for those who cannot speak for themselves. Together, we can create a world where every being knows the comfort of love and safety.

🌟 Exciting day at the farm! 🌟

Today, my wonderful friend Jamie came out to volunteer all the way from Rochester, as she does every week. The animals absolutely adore her! I handed her a drill and asked if she could help take down some boards in the special needs barn to give our cows more space. Without missing a beat, Jamie jumped right in!

It was heartwarming to see all the animals gathering around her, eager for her company. Even though the feeders were full of hay and it was breakfast time, they chose to be close to Jamie instead. While she worked on the barn, I was able to make a few trips to pick up hay bales.

It was such a joyful day, witnessing the happiness of our special needs cows—Prince Albert, Joseph, and Princess Darsha—knowing we were making their lives a little better. 🐄❤️

Our Story

Asha is a storybook sanctuary and home to Albert the Super Cow and his barnyard friends including rescued chickens, donkeys, turkeys, pigs, sheep, a blind cow, a mother cow and steers. They all live at our sanctuary in peace and surrounded by love. We provide a safe place where people can meet these animals, establishing long lasting emotional relationships. We believe these human-animal connections will allow people to see these sweet, gentle animals as friends and not food, helping them to make the compassionate decision to go vegan.

Located in the heart of Niagara's orchards and vineyards on 27-acres of land, Asha is the perfect setting to begin the magic when people meet farmed animals for the first time and see how friendly, emotional and intelligent they are. We let the animals tell their story - a very simple one of just wanting to be loved. They tell us with a loving kiss, a warm nudge, and a still look that captures our hearts and changes our minds forever.

Our sanctuary helps to educate the community on cruel, yet standard, practices in the dairy industry and the sentient nature of cows through our Meet a Cow and Albert the Super Cow programs.

Asha provides support and encouragement by offering vegan cooking classes through Albert Super's Kitchen program.
