Meet Axle and Lacey. These cute puppies are looking for a home. They’re Livestock Guardian pups, but are super friendly and would make a great family dog as well!

First batch of chicken for the season out on pasture! It takes about 4 days for them to get acclimated to their new environment and until they learn the routine of their 2x/day moves to fresh grass. It’s satisfying to watch them indulge on fresh blades of grass and clover leaves! This addition to their organic diet and the exercise they get, puts our chicken a notch above the rest in flavor, tenderness, and nutrition. Stop by our farm store and try it for yourself, along with our 100% grass-fed beef, pastured-raised pork/turkey, and soy free chicken egg! We’re open daylight hours, Monday- Saturday, located along Rt. 897 right outside of Kleinfeltersville.

Our first batch of chicks of the season!🐥 The kids love to spend time with the tiny peeps while they’re small and cute! This is where they spend the first few weeks of their lives in a climate controlled environment, starting out at a temp of 90 degrees. As they get older and their baby chick fluffiness is replaced by adult feathers, we gradually lower the temperature to prepare them for moving outside to the pasture.

We’re experimenting with growing our own grain for fresh milled flour. We experimented with a small patch of wheat in our garden last year. We were finally able to grind some and used it to make apple dumplings. They turned out delicious and had a rich, earthy flavor. As you can see, I had one little helper who stuck with it from start to finish. He is always the one who loves to help me in the kitchen. 🍎

Cold winter days are great for scrapple making! We took advantage of the slower pace this time of year and made a big batch of our own scrapple with “scraps” that we had saved. It’s a mixture of beef, pork, venison, and even turkey this year! Unfortunately, since we don’t have a certified kitchen and there’s venison in it, we are not able to sell this in our farm store… maybe someday… but we’d be glad to help you thru the process of making it if you’re feeling adventurous…!!😉
