There is a lot of chatter on the neighborhood app in Costa Mesa, CA about the suffering of a coyote. Those concerned are wanting Costa Mesa Animal Control to do something!

Most all say they don't want to see it suffering. Some want the animal helped and released back, some say euthanasia is the better option.

Some of you may have known Dr. Ron Paladin a well-known veterinarian at the Costa Mesa Animal Hospital.

I have just learned that he lost his battle with cancer on December 10,2024.

I remember Dr. Ron Paladin as a compassionate and caring human being. It was a Sunday in the late 1990's, when a rescue kitten named Bentley was playing with sheers from the drapes and got tangled and mummy wrapped from frantically twisting trying to get free.

Dr. Paladin lived nearby and he didn’t hesitate to offer his assistance and came to my home and we freed Bentley from the tangled drapes.

Costa Mesa Animal Hospital and Community Animal Network had a wonderful business association for many years.

Vets like Dr. Paladin that work with rescue organizations will be terribly missed.

May his soul sing and his kind energy surround the Costa Mesa Animal Hospital and bring blessings

Community Animal Networks' vet interns learn to force feed Apollo the cat using AD Prescription Diet that easily flows through a feeding syringe.

Apollo had congestion in his lungs and the nasal passages were clogged causing him stop eating.

A vet prescribed Doxycycline and Apollo began antibiotic treatment, but force-feeding was necessary and continued for 5 days. In addition, one nostril was continually crusted over and was wiped regularly and 3 times a day drops of nasal saline was dripped into his nose to loosen the mucus.

When a cat has a critical condition and they stop eating the animal should be force fed until the animal can be examined by a vet.

A cat's life can be saved until the animal can get to a vet.

This is how to safely, calmly, and effectively force feed a cat.

Divorce can bring devastating changes to many women and the family pets too.

Jaclyn has divorced and is now a single parent managing life. A roommate is in the spare room and a new job has her traveling a lot. Her daughter misses her and when Jaclyn travels the roommate takes care of the cat which is becoming noted as an inconvenience.

Cali is the sweetest cat and would be good with a family that could give her the attention that she craves.

Cali is 4 years old and a very pretty long hair tabby cat that misses the way things were. She's a total love bug and snuggles in bed. The kids in the neighborhood give her a treat when they come over to play and she takes a seat right next to them hoping for more.

She is great with children and she's tolerated and been around multiple dogs.

Long Hair Neglected Shepherd To Be Killed After 4pm Wednesday...

Sail is his name. I haven't met him, but it is sad that the end of a neglected animals life would not end with some moments of happiness in a home.

Showing signs of gait abnormalities, (possible hip dysplasia), urinary incontinence, (possible spinal injury/abuse) and is shy of leashes, (possible abuse). Arrived matted, treated for ingrown dew claws, ticks and urinary inconsonance
