So you’re probably thinking…How do I transition my dog from kibble to a raw diet? While transitioning to a fresh diet is a process, it is relatively simple and usually spans up to 14 days.⁠
⁠
Just remember these 4 phases: 20/80, 50/50, 80/20, 100. ⁠Here's an explanation of what these numbers mean...⁠
⁠
Start by feeding 20% of your dog's meal raw food, with the other 80% being what they previously were eating. Continue this pattern for 3-5 days⁠, or until your pup's stools are solid.⁠
⁠
Next, you’ll transition to 50% Raw food, 50% of your dog's old food for 3-5 more days⁠.⁠
⁠
Next, you’ll move on to 80% Raw/20% of your pup's old diet for 3-5 days⁠.⁠
⁠
Finally, you’ll be feeding 100% Raw!⁠
⁠
Remember, these are general guidelines. Every dog is different, and their transition to a better diet will be unique! Monitor your pup's stool and adjust their rate of transition when necessary.⁠
