My keeper babies from my first rabbit litters! Punnett is blue brindle/harlequin and Reggie broken black, both are from Sweet Pea (tri mini rex doe) x Nightshade (black mini rex buck). Nate is black VM/VC and Thicket blue white ear VM/VC, both from Bluebell (blue white ear VM/VC lop) x Nightshade.

Just finished updating my application! I’ve sent that to the people who were waiting on it, if you also want to fill it out shoot me a message. I won’t be doing an official waitlist and reaching out to people individually anymore (unless they’re previous adopters who have been waiting and get first dibs). Availability will be posted directly to my pages, with a few days notice, and be on a first come basis for those who have filled out the application and been approved. I currently expect my next rats to be about two months from now 🎉 any rabbits would be closer to three months most likely, assuming my doe took when I paired her 🤞

A few very roumd girls, expecting full harley litters from these ladies. They were bred to Mango, who you’ve seen in previous posts. Some lux harley, some silvermane harley, some possibly silvermane lux harley. The lux with the harley makes for a very interesting disheveled look, and a very funky texture as opposed to the softer non-lux harley.

A few pairings I put together recently! I’ll be putting my curly coat and my pink eye dilute together into one line rather than two separate lines. That coincidentally brings along downunder, which is fine since it’s one of my favorite genetics. I’ll ultimately be shooting for agouti and silverfawn variegated downunder rexoid (testing for rex vs velveteen vs teddy with these pairings).

Some of you may have noticed I haven’t posted in quite a while, those who have messaged my pages have certainly noticed I haven’t replied. And for that I am sorry! Life has been in the way of me being able to give social media the attention I used to, and to be honest I’ve needed and enjoyed the time away.

It has also required me to make some changes here at the rodentry. Rogue Rodents is no longer breeding mice, which was a sad pill to swallow since I had worked with a couple of my lines for so long. They were no longer sparking joy and it wasn’t fair to them for me to continue going through the motions but not putting in the work the lines needed.

I am also shrinking my rat program, not keeping so many varieties and as large of a group as I have the last couple years. The varieties I’ve chosen to keep, while I love them, are unfortunately some of my lines that were not ready to be pet homed. This means I likely won’t have full litters of availability for quite some time. When I am able to post availability again, it will likely be a handful of babies every few months. I will not be keeping a waitlist, as this is one of the things that was really draining me. I would have tons of people message wanting rats, fill out the applications that I then had to go through, field questions until the time I had babies ready, and then when I finally posted availability it would be crickets. I can’t afford to keep putting so much time and energy into keeping up with people who just end up dead ends.

On a happier note, I have started my rabbit projects and have had my first couple litters in the time I’ve taken from social media. They have made me realize getting rid of my mice was the right decision, and have given me back some of the passion I felt I had lost. I’ll post more about them later as I rework my pages and info over the coming days/weeks.

I hope going forward I can get back the things I enjoyed about running these pages, and I’ve already set the ground work for getting back to a happy place with my animals 🩷

Kids I hadn’t gotten any photos of since I was super sick for the whole first part of their beanhood, from my hairless/odd eye line. All the raggedy looking ones are the hairless 😂 they’ll start losing that baby fuzz soon

More pairings! McIntosh is one of my top three favorite boys, these will be his first litters so I’m super excited to see how his sprouts turn out. Rainbow Dash, Apple Bloom, and Pinkie Pie will be having their first litters as well 🤞 Bubbles is being paired to go to Swan Exotics with her litter, and then Mystery and Imogen will be having their third litters. Expecting lots and lots of silvermane from these guys, and hopefully proving out some things McIntosh may carry

New pairings, who dis? Y’all have seen Hobgoblin and Demobat quite a few times, but I haven’t really posted the others. This group I’ll be working on making an all black line, no white spotting, no coat types. So I can test or balance out my other lines with them when I need to without risking mixing around colors and coats I don’t want in various lines. That said, they carry quite a bit in recessives so I have my work cut out for me 😂 can’t wait for litters of soot sprites though!
