🐶✨ Fur Ball, Peninsula SPCA"s largest fundraiser of the year, will be held on March 8th at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. Our silent auction features a wide variety of items, certificates, and experiences for our guests to win, all raising critical funds to help the animals at the Peninsula SPCA. Supporting the animals at the Peninsula SPCA through an in-kind gift gives you and your business exposure to a special group of consumers (approx. 500 guests). "A month ago today my wife and I adopted Fiona and everything has been great! Her first couple days home was pure chaos! She had so much energy to burn off and so many new things to see. She finally began to settle in on day three.

30 days later and she's a completely different dog, same energy but is quickly learning how to control it better. She is so loving and enjoys relaxing on the couch and cuddling with our Shiba Inu Leah. She even gets along with the chickens in the yard. [...] Thank you all for caring for her and reaching back out to us when her first play date didn't pan out. We couldn't be happier."

Meet Pongo! Pongo has been with us since September. Only 2yrs old and very playful, he came from an overcrowded shelter, so we have no information on his past. Pongo is quickly becoming a staff favorite and is very intelligent and will stay by your side. Happy #ForeverFriday to our sweet girl, Moose who is settling into her new home! 🥰 Right now all dog and cat adoptions will still receive a new holiday stocking filled with goodies! We couldn’t think of a more appropriate day to share Wednesday, a super sweet Lab mix who was recently transferred to our shelter. When Wednesday came to us through our shelter transfer program, we knew she needed a little extra TLC but that didn’t stop us from welcoming this sweet dog into our care. After a full examination, Wednesday needed eye surgery to the cost of $1,100. As a private shelter, the Peninsula SPCA relies on community donations in order to operate. Medical care is by far the largest expense we face. In fact, the Peninsula SPCA spends approximately $100,000 on medical care for shelter pets every year. Despite Wednesday’s medical condition, she has been a sweet and happy dog since arriving! We have completed her surgery and are helping her heal. Meet Chantilly, also known as Tilly Girl. She is 3 years old. Two of her favorite things are outside adventures and cuddles! She’s a sucker for a good belly rub and does need to be the only pet in the home (no kids). Chantilly is one of our longest residents, so come meet her today! The Peninsula SPCA is open Monday-Saturday, 11am-5pm, at 523 J Clyde Morris Blvd.
