Bear #6 shot by John Russell on Thursday October 24th!

Arthur and John set out early morning and walked over 3 miles before picking up scent on this bear, she ran 45 mins before treeing, where John was able to make a nice kill shot! Congratulations on your bear!

Bear #5 shot by Hometown Hero’s Veteran Tom on Saturday October 19th!

After treeing a mother and cubs earlier in the morning the dogs picked up another track and treed this bear and Tom was able to shoot it and bring it back home to NY. Thank you for your service!

Arthur started the dogs around 5 and they were treed by 5:15. The guys didn’t get out of the woods until about 10pm bc it was 1000+ yards out in the woods!

Bear #2 shot by Laura Pingree on Sunday October 6th around 9:30am

This older sow made a nice run but was no match for Cain. We hiked 700 yards in where Laura then made a nice head shot and the bear quickly fell to the ground. Great job Laura on your first bear!

Bear #1 shot by Hometown Hero veteran Greg Saturday October 5th at approx 8:30am

Zander and Cain made a nice run early this morning and treed this older sow. We hiked up approx 600 yards where Greg was able to make a clean head shot and the bear fell to the ground.
