Bear # 3 shot on October 29th by Hometown Hero’s Veteran (serviceperson) Chris! Chris is in his 25th year with the Army and we thank him very much for serving our great country, the U.S.A.

This bear hunt started on Saturday morning at the break of dawn hiking a couple miles out to a beech k**b on a local mountain. With no luck on Saturday the guys pushed through and went back out Sunday morning… After a few more miles of walking the dogs through the mountainous woods Zander struck on this bears scent and Cain followed it to the tree. The bear weighed in at 173lbs and Chris is very excited to take it home to his wife and son where they will cut it up and process it themselves 😁 Once again, thank you for serving our country and a big thanks to Hometown Hero’s Outdoors David Grey for coordinating this hunt!

Puppy vs Cub Georgia is 8 months old and this is her 3rd day of training on bear. She has made 2 successful truck to tree runs so far! She’s in the making to be a great bear dog and fits right in with the pack!
