Dr. Hailey's kitto, Noodle broke her only hind leg! It's a mystery how it happened, but given her age, the nature of the break and the fact that she only has one hind leg meant that Dr. Hailey had to take her to the orthopedic surgeon to get fixed.

📋 Plan Ahead: Please ensure your pets' medications are refilled before December 24th. Call and request those refills this week as it can take 24-48 hours to get those filled for you.
🚨 Emergency Services:
* Available from 8 AM to 5 PM on December 26th and 27th for current clients. Please call to speak with the doctor.

Newport Veterinary Hospital will be CLOSED on Thursday November 28th in observation of Thanksgiving, we will be back in the office at 8am Friday November 29th.
Here are a few tips to help keep your pet happy and healthy over the holidays.
1. Refrain from giving your pet table scraps. Turkey, gravy and other savory foods can cause pancreatitis.
2. DON'T Give the dog a bone. Bones can cause stomach upset and intestinal blockages
3. Make sure the garbage is secure and out of your pet's reach.
4. Onions, raisins, grapes, chocolate and Xylitol (an artificial sweetener) can be toxic for pets. Be very careful when serving dished that contain these that items don't get dropped on the floor where your pet may ingest them.
5. Make sure your pet has a name tag or some other form of identification, they are more likely to get loose with the increased traffic of guests coming and going over the holidays.
