Alpacas of the Crystal Coast

As a family we often joke that it all started with
riding lessons. So then we bought another horse which
required a horse trailer to go on trail rides.

Both of my children were grown
and my first grandchild had just been born when I
decided I would like to take horseback riding
lessons. Well, horseback riding lessons turned
into leasing a horse, which turned into buying a
horse, which turned into my husband getting into
riding. Of
course, we needed a new truck to pull the trailer
with. Then after boarding our horses at a stable
for some time, we

decided to purchase property. Then came the house and the barn. We had
more than enough land and barn space for two
horses. So that’s when my sister suggested
alpacas. I did a little research, fell in love, and
here we are!

We want to give a shoutout to a home school group who came out to learn about Alpacas and see how they are raised.
How their fiber is made useable to transform it into different types of clothing and accessories.

We wish to send out a heartfelt “Thank You”, to all our current friends and customers and new found customers who came out to see us at the North Carolina Chocolate Festival. Your generosity this weekend not only helped charities supported by the festival but also have enabled us to pass on to the Carteret County Humane Society in Newport a generous contribution to support their efforts with our furry friends.

Well now that our Alpaca Farm Day is over and has been a great success, we want to give a Special Shout Out to our Community First Responders
Broad & Gales Creek Fire Dept Station 13,
who took out valuable time from their families and work this weekend to share their passion and pride in their Station and Equipment to spend their weekend with us!!!

A very Heartfelt Tribute and Thank You for all you do for our community!!

Thank you to everyone who came out for Alpaca Day this weekend! It was an amazing weekend and we couldn’t have done it without all of you!

Another huge thank you for everyone who donated and bought raffle tickets! All those proceeds are going straight to Carteret County Humane Society! Together we raised $1,050.00!!! That’s AMAZING!
