Thank goodness I was walking this naturally sweet guy, Dylan, when when the dogwalkerā€™s nightmare occurred- three off leash dogs running right to us.

I hid how nervous that made me, as this big dog is relatively unsocialized, and tried to make it seem like something very happy, positive, and exciting was happening, that those dogs were friends coming to greet us!! ā€¦as there was no way I could get him away in time and I didnā€™t want my own behavior sparking him into acting defensive.

Many dogs wouldnā€™t react so well. If youā€™re walking your dogs off leash, & there is any question as to their recall, try to do it somewhere you wonā€™t run into other people and dogs. Helps keep everyone safe. Even if your dogs are friendly, thereā€™s no reason expect every other dog to be.

Earl Grey is my favorite cat. He has a curfew now because he was getting himself into trouble at night. When I asked him about the cuts on his neck, he said, ā€œyou shouldā€™ve seen the other guy!ā€

But really, itā€™s good his dad is bringing him inside at night now. Heā€™s mischievous!
