It's National Veterinary Technician Week!! We are truly blessed to have some of the BEST!
🐾🐾Vet Tech (noun): a person who has a big heart and a thoughtful mind, they have the strength to do what is right even when it hurts and will ALWAYS have the deepest love for all creatures.
🐾Letha is a graduate from Columbus Technical Institute and The Ohio State and has been with our hospitals for almost 40, yes I said FORTY years! Letha joined the staff as the only veterinary technician in the Newville area way back in 1988. As my daughter would say, way back in the 1900's. Letha is a Mom to 2 adult children and has been a pet parent for as long as she can remember. She truly is a Trained Professional!!
🐾Lisa E. graduated from Nation College and has been with our hospital over 30 years! We don't know what would we do without her! Lisa makes sure that our shelves are always stocked and that everyone has what they need to make our patient care run as smooth as possible
🐾Mindy graduated from Wilson College with a degree as a Veterinary Technician. This year marks a milestone year for her as she celebrates 30 years with us. She also got to celebrate her daughters college graduation this past May. Her days are spent managing both of our busy hospitals, but every once in a while she gets to put her technical skills to use, when a team member or a doctor need some help!
🐾Janet has been with our hospital for over 25 years. Janet learned and developed her skills during her early years working here. Not only is Janet one of our technicians, she also grooms dogs here at our office! Being a veterinary technician, a groomer and a Grandma to her 2 amazing grandsons keeps her quite busy!!
🐾 Tiffany is a graduate of Hagerstown Community College and has been with us for over 7 years. Tiff is not only an amazing technician, working both with patient appointments and as a surgery technician, she is a busy Mom too, taking the best care of her 2 (very energetic) boys!
🐾Lisa F. has been with our hospitals over 4 years now! Lisa learned and developed her skills and knowledge while working for years with the Doctors at Burnt Mill Veterinary Hospital. Lisa is also an amazing Mom, her 2 boys keep her on her toes and moving all the time.
🐾Jordyn is a graduate of the YTI Technical Institute with a degree in Veterinary Technology. This month marks the 4 year anniversary since Jordyn joined our team. We are so glad to have her as an integral part of our team. Patients (and owners alike) are drawn to her for her quiet, peaceful and calm demeanor.
🐾 Elizabeth graduated from Wilson College in the spring of 2024. She did her internship with us and we asked her if she minded sticking around, we are so glad she said yes! Elizabeth not only is a great technician, she is a pretty great artist too!
🐾Zada is a graduate of Shippensburg University with a degree in Animal Science. She has been with us a little over a year. Zada has a love for all creatures, well maybe not possums 😉...her love even carries over in to the plant world, she has a pretty awesome green thumb too!
🐾Lexie is currently attending Wilson College working towards her degree in Animal Science & Veterinary Nursing and we could not be more proud of her. Lexie has been with us for almost 2 years. We are not sure where she gets all her energy...when she is not at school she is splitting her time between our two offices taking the very best care of each and every one of her patients!
