Misplaced Mutts of Niagara Falls is a volunteer rescue organization that helps bridge the gap between dogs who are homeless and in need of rehoming.

Our mission is to network with existing community resources to find loving forever homes.

Sofie had her spa day yesterday. She cleans up well! Now this little girl can see. Sadly, she will need to have most of her teeth, if not all, removed due to neglect. Sofie is settling in to her foster home nicely. She will be properly vetted and up for adoption through Open Arms Rescue.🐶🐾

It's official. Sophie is now an OAR dog. She had a great evaluation today. Very dog and people friendly. She is an easygoing, little lady. Sophie has a spa appointment tomorrow morning to get beautified. Can't wait to see her pupdate!! Thank you, Lisa, for holding her and taking her to her appointment. Thank you to her foster Margaret, who stepped up to foster her. It take a village and then some!

We are looking to bring this little lady into rescue. Her name is Sophie. Local surrender. She is 10 years old, altered, utd on rabies, and house broken. Her owner can no longer keep due to declining health, and a family member currently has her but can't keep. Good with dogs, cats are unknown but can cat test. Walker is a local surrender we were working on bringing into rescue. He is officially an OAR boy now. Thank you to Walker's foster, who stepped up. He will be up for adoption soon.

Good morning! We are looking to bring this little guy into rescue. Walker is a local surrender. He is a Border Collie/Pointer Mix (mom collie/dad Pointer). Both parents are on premises and have a good demeanor. Walker is 7 months old, utd on distemper/parvo. Rescue will assist with rabies, hw test, and neuter. He knows general commands. He is potty trained and crate trained. Good with other dogs, people and kids. No cats or small critters. Please let us know if you can foster this sweet boy. Located in Lewiston, NY. Depending on location, we might have transport assistance.

Today, we received another call about a local surrender in need of rehoming. This is Sophie. A 2 year old mini Goldendoodle. We will be setting her up in a foster to adopt home through Open Arms Rescue.

Another plea for help. A good Samaritan who learned of a dog in need reached out to us for assistance. Willow is a 2 year old Rottweiler mix who has lived the last year of her life chained outside. It is apparent how super excited she was to have human contact. Of course, we had to help. We completed an evaluation, and she has proven to be a sweetheart! She is temporarily being held in Niagara Falls, but needs a new home or foster by this Saturday, January 27th. She is utd on dhpp & rabies. She is good with kids and dogs. A neighbor said she did share her feeding bowl with multiple chickens. We are in need of an emergency foster. If you are able to foster, please apply at www.oarwny.org. she will be fully vetted through Open Arms Rescue. Please share so we can get this sweet girl in rescue!

Ziva was a rescue we received a call about from Niagara Falls. She became an Open Arms Rescue dog and has since then been adopted to a loving home. She now has two little boys to grow up with. Happy tails sweet Ziva. It's only the good life from here! 💙🐾

Once again, we received a plea for help in Niagara Falls. Someone had what they thought to be a 10 week old puppy that they couldn't take care of. So, of course, we couldn't say no. Although we couldn't foster this puppy ourselves, we have resources and networks that we were able to contact. We are estimating this puppy to be around 4 weeks of age. Too young to be adopted out. The person who had the puppy did the right thing by surrendering to a rescue. Little Carmen, named after her rescuer, is now in foster care where she will get the proper vetting she needs. Theo now Venom was one of our local surrenders we helped become an Open Arms Rescue dog. He was adopted to an amazing couple. His adopter shared an update with us. "Just a little update, he is an incredibly spoiled little man! He’s absolutely thriving in his puppy classes, he is going through a fear period right now but we’re working through it! We absolutely adore him and are so glad we got him!" We are so happy for you Venom. It's only the good life from here! 🐾🐶

Benji now Benny was a local surrender from Niagara Falls. His family didn't have time to dedicate to his training. They decided it was in his best interest to surrender him. We received a call of a dog in need and of course we had to help. Benny became an Open Arms Rescue dog and has been adopted. His foster mom described him as WONDERFUL and adores him. He has come along way. He has even gained some weight, and absolutely loves jumping like a kangaroo in the snow. It's only the good life from here Benny! Happy tails sweet boy. ❄️🦘🐾💙

We are happy to announce the dog we were contacted about tied up in front of the Niagara Falls casino has become an Open Arms of WNY dog. She was officially adopted by a loving home. She will be loved for a lifetime to come. Her new name is Snowy. It's only the good life from here Snowy. Happy tails sweet girl! 🐾❤️❄️
