🎃🐴 We had a spooktacular time at our Halleck Creek Ranch Halloween Party last Saturday at RockRose Ranch!

Our riders came decked out in their best costumes, and our horses joined the fun with their own amazing Halloween costumes too! 🧙‍♀️👻

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the fun – we couldn't have asked for a better turnout. 🎉 Can't wait to see you all again soon! 🎃🐴

Exciting Progress at RockRose Ranch!

We’ve been making great strides at RockRose Ranch recently! Our incredible volunteers—Rich, Jim, and Matt—have been hard at work getting the ramp in place, while Carson has been putting the finishing touches on our mounting steps.

A special shout-out to Scott for transporting the ramp all the way from Petaluma to RockRose Ranch. We couldn’t do this without our amazing team!

We’re right on track to host our inaugural ride at RockRose Ranch this December, and we can’t wait to share more updates with you soon.

Today was an exciting day here at Halleck Creek Ranch! 🎉 Thanks to the generosity of just a handful of people, and the hard work of a few more, we now have our very own mechanical lift to help us assist our students onto their horses from their wheelchairs! 👩‍🦽

A huge thank you to those who donated (and shall remain anonymous), and to Jim Hill for making this a reality! We can't wait for our staff to learn how to safely use this new tool, and to acclimate our amazing horses to it. 🦄

And thank you to Lift and Transfer Specialists, Inc. for all their help in answering our questions and quelling our concerns!

Today marks our 47th anniversary! Over the years, lots has changed here at Halleck Creek Ranch, but our mission and culture remain the same - to change the lives of people living with disabilities through powerful connections with horses and community.

Here at Halleck Creek Ranch, we like to think of the volunteer experience a bit like our beloved Apache thinks of the neck scritches our Volunteer Coordinator Kayla gives him: "You scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours."

Our volunteers show an admirable level of dedication and love to our participants and horses, and in return, we provide them with ongoing training, support, and educational enrichment opportunities including workshops on topics including disability education, equine care, and other best practices that relate to Equine Assisted Services.
