🐾Why We Require a Meet & Greet
At Paws Up Vacay, we require a meet & greet before booking any daycare or boarding—and here’s why:
🌱 To Build Trust & Comfort
We want your dog to feel safe and familiar with us before their first stay. It helps reduce stress and builds a relationship from the start.
🐶 To Ensure a Good Fit
Every dog is different, and our farm is a unique environment. This is our chance to observe your pup’s behavior and ensure they’re comfortable with our pack and structure.
📋 To Understand Your Dog’s Needs
We’ll talk about feeding, sleeping, routines, medications, quirks, and preferences—so your dog gets personalized care, not just a spot in a kennel.
🏡 To Introduce You to Our Space
You’ll see where your dog will eat, sleep, play, and relax. No hidden areas—just a loving, transparent home-away-from-home.
We believe every pup deserves a smooth start and a happy stay 💛 Let’s set them up for success, together.
🐶Let’s Make Sure We’re a Good Fit
Before your pup joins the Paws Up Vacay crew, we want to make sure it’s a great fit—for their safety, your peace of mind, and the harmony of our pack 🐾
During the meet & greet, we’ll be looking for a few key things:
✔️ Dog-to-Dog Social Skills – Is your dog friendly with all types of dogs, regardless of size, breed, or energy level? Our farm is a social setting with daily playgroups and structured walks.
✔️ Leash Manners – Can your dog walk respectfully on leash without excessive pulling? We do daily group walks and need pups to stay calm and manageable in a pack setting.
✔️ Ability to Settle – Can your dog relax when asked, like staying on a place bed or mat? Calm downtime is an important part of our structured daily rhythm.
✔️ Crate or Confinement Comfort – Is your dog okay being in a crate, suite, or quiet space for rest? Even in a homey environment, it’s important they can settle independently.
These aren’t about perfection—they’re about setting your pup up for success here. If your dog needs a little help in one of these areas, we’re happy to guide you through how to prep them for a great experience!
