Goldie is a 3 year old out of Hollywood Pl***oy. She is already demonstrating that she has a willing attitude, smooth gait, confidence and a good mind. This is her third time out on the trail. Because she had a lot of consistent groundwork and clear expectations, she took it all in stride.
Mr. D is offering a new service. If you are out of gas, he can bring you fuel. If you are camping, he can bring you water. He can haul groceries, laundry, you name it. He’s your guy!
In all seriousness, Mr. D was goofing around in the arena while Dan worked a client horse in the round pen. Mr. D was interested in the cans, so why not? Good minded young c**t!
Bella’s second trail ride. Bella spent a month with us last fall for kindergarten, which provided her with an excellent foundation. She went back home over winter, and grew mentally and physically. This is the plan we recommend.
Because Bella had the foundation she needed, her saddle time is going very smooth. You will see in the video she is going down the trail smooth and relaxed, no tight rein. Dan is able to swing the rope, and it doesn’t faze her.
Gemma’s first experience dragging something while someone’s in the saddle. 30 days into her training. A nice mare.
This is Haddie Brown’s first minute and 17 seconds with a person in the saddle. If you saw Haddie’s post from a few days ago, you will remember that Haddie had the benefit of a great foundation prior to coming here. We gave Haddie time to settle, continued her ground work by setting clear expectations and treated her fairly.
Haddie is an agreeable young mare, but she is a testament on how important it is to not rush training. Give young horses your gifts of time and patience. It is paying off greatly now.
Dan teaching Sundance to load and unload slowly & quietly, in a much better habit!
Rebel’s second ride at Wilson’s Creek, and less than a handful on the trails. He’s moving along quite relaxed!
Bandero’s first ride at the shooting range... calm and relaxed.
Think we got the sound fixed now!
This is Knight, a MFT gelding, who has found his great head shake while enjoying the trails.
