One week update on Cotton! Her neck is healing FANTASTIC from the botfly removal and she's on the road to full recovery. Cotton is the sweetest, most affectionate rabbit. Her remaining little cotton balls are thriving, but unfortunately the 2 runts did not make it which I predicted based on their condition when they came to me. But the 8 healthy kits are alert and eyes are open! It's their nap time 💤
We have a happy update on Cotton here! We rescued her yesterday after she was replaced with a "new pet" by her human family and was left in a cardboard box, along with her TEN very new babies. We removed over 30 ticks before letting her rest for the night, but today was another story. She had two botflies, one rather large, on either side of her neck. They were not an easy removal, but she is so kind and trusting of humans and let me remove them without too much struggle! She is now cleaned up and drying off, hopefully feeling better and will be returned with her babies in an isolated cage and eventually joining the other does. All 10 kits are alive, but it looks like at least one is struggling to survive due to being the runt. Keep sending good vibes her way as they all recover from the extreme neglect.
Had these bonded Lops out for some time alone today! They were exploring our rocky hill (supervised, of course) as you can tell 😍

With the does expecting litters, we brought Mr Carrots out for a family egg hunt! He loves being handled, especially with the kiddos. And he really loved the carrots 😎 Happy Easter y'all!!

Sadly, we will no longer be breeding Dutch bunnies for the time being! But that means my buck, Jean Ralphio, is looking for a new loving family! This is Bullet and she is looking for a loving home.
She is 1-2 years old and not spayed, she is not part of my breeding program.
I took her in earlier this year and my goal was to get her to a level of being social and confident enough that she can find a forever family. Over the past many months we have worked with her, played with her, and showed her the affection she deserves. She is now more than comfortable being held and loved on, as long as her behind is supported lol.

This pretty Flemish Giant buck here is one of our rescues. He came to us with matting and sores, ear and fur mites, severe infection, emaciated and he was immobile. He has come a long way and after months of care and work, he is now mite and infection free! He still has some sores on his bottom that are healing, and he is mobile! At this point, we're unsure if his lame back end will ever function normally, as he still cannot use his back legs. But we are hopeful he will continue to improve!
**He is not used in our breeding program, and has been 100% isolated from all other rabbits**

We have *another* Harlequin litter!! How cute are these little newborn buns 😍 This momma had 7 this morning and is doing so well! They've been counted, checked out, and bedding added to the bottom of her nesting box (she didn't pull quite as much hair as some other mommas lol)
These are the cute little "mousers" here at the garden! They're indoor only but they sure keep the moths and spiders under control 😉
The entire litter opened their eyes yesterday! They're so much more alert and curious now that they can see their surroundings! 💕
Josh managed to save two hibiscus plants that were very near death! We didn't know if they were going to ever bloom. Proper care and amazing nutrients will go a long way 🌱
All the buns got a nice frozen treat during the hottest part of the day today! Celery and herbs, frozen in an ice tray!
(Also, this little guy is my last baby currently looking for a new home!)
The newest babies are already getting some gorgeous color! They're Harlequin mix so I cannot wait to see how their markings end up!
