Meet Lady! She did come to me as Sadie but you all know I have my Sadie 🩵 Lady is a walk trot extraordinaire and will be used in our lesson and show program. There is nothing she can’t really do other than having a super pretty lope. It was never installed 🤷‍♀️ but she will be a great confidence builder for our clients and I look forward to the journey!

🩵 Had an amazing day with amazing people! I definitely had the cutest rider (Callen). We had two show debuts, one of which was on Winston (Ava). We had a new loper (Todd). We had familiar faces join us back (Kenley and Lindsay). Grayson had his second show with Blue Line. Everyone placed respectively and always leaves room to grow and improve. I am so proud of my crew. I am beyond blessed. No matter how hot it is outside you all make everything worth it 🩵

At least 44 horses died while trapped in a barn fire in Ohio over the weekend. One trainer suffered severe burns while trying to save the animals.

Many of you know I hardly ever reschedule for being under the weather. Since returning from vacation I have been hit HARD with an upper respiratory infection. It is intermittent and hit or miss. Some days are better than others. I want to thank my clients for being understanding while I try to get well. Thank you!

Emarie achieved Reserve High Point in WT Ranch Youth on Zippin Up The Deal! Today was her showing debut! She is a hard worker and I am so proud of all her practice she put in.

Grayson showed a lot of bravery. He had a fall off a personal horse at home and he made me proud by overcoming his fears. He proves that sometimes you just do things afraid and the reward follows. He placed respectively in both of his classes on MJ Fly Cee Bert. This was his show debut!

Both these kids are hooked!

Today was also my first ranch show debut. I had a blast! I achieved High point in Open Ranch with Zippin up The Deal. Needless to say Ollie is tired!

UPDATE: WE ARE FLOODED FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY!

Well here I am waiting for the rainbow because Oklahoma has given me A LOT of rain. We will be closed today and I THINK I have everyone rescheduled. Things got a little crazy rescheduling on the way back from vacation. God is giving me hardships and testing my faith. I am putting all my trust in him that this is what is meant to be. Nothing worthwhile ever came easy.

In my six years in business, there are always clients that come and go. I remember the day Lena and her mom showed up for her first lesson. They said later on that when they found out where Blue Line was, they figured it was too far but decided to try out a lesson anyways and it felt like home. Time is a thief. It is never enough. Lena wasn’t overly competitive but she always did what was right by the horse. She didn’t care what horse she rode as long as she was on a horse. If I needed a gentle and kind rider, Lena was my go to. You grow to love these kids and their families so much. She is one of those students where you look back and you are mad at the erratic weather, business trips, injuries, and surgeries because more time with Lena was always welcomed. We were so blessed to have her and her family here. I hope they don’t think they’ve gotten rid of us that easy because they are moving to one of our favorite places and we WILL be dropping in 🩵 prayers for safe travels and a good move. Showing isn’t about just looking pretty on your horse the day of. Showing is HOURS of preparation that never seem like enough. Showing is observing and soaking in all the information you can and sometimes just watching other riders Showing is grit Showing is tenacity and knowing when to attack a pattern and when to have finesse. Listen to your trainers. Talk to your trainers. If you don’t get it ask questions. Showing is learning to appreciate the walk You are now being judged at the walk. Good luck

You all!! I can not begin to express how happy this first week in the books has made me. I love coaching all of you. I am your listening ear. I still strive to be your safe place! We are the future of our youth and I want all of these kids to turn out to be good people more than anything and to make good choices. Imagine sending your child to learn the art of horsemanship but also have an instructor that validates their feelings and also is on team mom and dad if needed. No drama…gotta make the grades…have to be kind. It is about so much more than the horse 🩵🩵 thank you all for trusting me in your and their journey.

Due to life circumstances unfortunately I cannot keep Todd. 4 year old gelding. He will be a good gentle riding horse or I was going to train him up in Ranch. He just needs more time under saddle. No bucking or funny business just doesn’t know a lot. 16hh. Asking what I paid around mid fours. AQHA, APHA, and Pinto.

We are having sessions but keeping things fair!! 🩵🙌 hope to see y’all soon!

Super proud of Addilyn! She is about 10 lessons in and started to lope on Ellie yesterday. It was her best lesson to date. Love watching these kids grow. She is such a sweetheart too!

Update on our mud situation. I will keep everyone informed on Sunday lessons.

Whew…. Today was a muggy one. Horses were adequately rotated as needed to cool themselves. Brandon is preparing for a mule back hunt in the fall and kindly accepted Ben as his horse for the day (sometimes Ben still gets confused). Kinlee got in one last lesson before the second half of her summer plans. She managed to trot a few strides today and I was so proud of her! Brielle worked Zing and told me she maybe/might love her and ride her next lesson. Paisleigh trotted for her first time today also and she LOVES to pick hooves! Ellie was in a mood today (stubborn). I then had Emma for a last minute ride with Goody before our next show and Amber riding Zing before the rain moved in. Zing needed more convincing her second lesson but Amber got it done! Horses were very much sweaty by 8pm and I’m pretty exhausted myself 🥵

💙🤍💙I put A LOT of thought into Ben lately. Heck, I even listed him on the market. I found myself in a heart vs. logic situation. I found myself wanting to push a discarded halter horse away because I miss Ace. It is silly. We become so guarded when something hurts. Ben has this big goofy personality and gentle demeanor. He doesn’t want to hurt a fly. After about 20 rides I made the decision he was ready for his maiden voyage. He needed a kind student, a patient student, and someone with light hands. Lena was exactly who this big guy needed today. He will begin earning his keep and gradually take on more students. Thank you Lena for doing him justice and solidifying his future at Blue Line Stables 💙🤍💙 welcome to the club Ben!
