Update on Baby J.
We have sadness in our hearts but she crossed over this evening. We had put her antibiotics at 10,000mg a day and she fought a great fight. In the end, not knowing how long she had injuries and infection before we were contacted, we couldn't get her infection under control.
It's so hard everytime, but if we didn't have the compassion and willpower to care for these animals, we would just quit on days like today.
Instead we will continue on and take solace in the fact we gave Baby J her best fight and she knew she was loved and cared for in her last days.
We want to take a moment to personally thank Nah Hannegan and her family from the equine rescue for all their help in transport and assisting us with treatment.
A special thanks to Lana Merrick and her husband Jim. Jim is the vet that assisted us during this time.
Lastly, we can't forget all the nice people that sent wishes.
Thank you from all of us at Hooves and Snouts Farm Animal Sanctuary "Adoptions of Pot Belly/Mini Pigs" .
If you would like to contribute to her expenses or the work we do then please do at one of the platforms on our page links.
Rest now Baby J, your pain is over. You will be missed...
