“Cash” was sold after Congress this year for significantly more and decided to need Colic surgery the week he was being picked up. I have all vet records from Purdue and they did not have to open any part of his digestive track; therefore, has little to no long term risks and no limitations or restrictions. He is 16.3 and a beautiful mover. Can slow trot for horsemanship. Has started back lightly under saddle. Our plan is to put him back in full time training after conditioning him over the next month and then show him at the L1 Championships. Will be shown in Rookie Horsemanship, Rookie Equitation, and HUS. He will also be shown in the youth by an 11 yr old. Safe enough for an amateur or youth. He was shown by an 11 year old this year at Congress. His hocks are fused so he does not require maintenance other than what I do for all of my horses on a regular basis: Chiro & Magnawave. PPE available at buyers expense. He has been started in Showmanship, ground poles, and lead changes. Open to all offers in the low 5s before sending him back into full-time training on March 1st. We love having a reason to celebrate at the barn! Today is Toby’s birthday! And we’re happy to finally share that Bradley is sold to the sweetest family and he’s staying with us! We couldn’t ask for a better fit for this sweet boy and our barn family. So grateful that we can stay apart of Brad’s story with his new girls. 🩵

We have decided to list our lesson horse “Bradley”. It’s a difficult decision but unfortunately we don’t have enough experienced riders in our program. He is extremely kind with the sweetest personality. 17 year old Thoroughbred. Brad loves attention and grooming. He enjoys his turnout time but is also okay in a stall. Gets along with mares and geldings. Low man in the herd and not buddy sour. He loads and hauls great. We have taken him off property for trail rides and nothing phased him. Seasoned lesson horse currently schooling up to 2’3” but needs some conditioning. Several of our students want to lease him but our program requires them to do certain tasks independently that 10 and under can’t do unsupervised. There will be tears when he leaves for sure! Most of our riders are “baby beginners” doing a few 18” cross rails so we’ve decided to let him use his skills for another program.

He has been used for our IEA middle school and high school teams. Our dressage IEA team has used him as well. We were told he has cribbed in the past but he has never cribbed in the time we have owned him. He is an extremely easy keeper for a thoroughbred and has good feet. Currently wears front shoes only. Stands tied and good for the farrier/vet.

Brad does take a daily dose of equiox and we do semi-annual hock injections. Brad also LOVES chiro, Magnawave, and bodywork. He’s quite spoiled! We do not know anything about his past beyond the lesson program we purchased him from. I was told he was kept shut in a stall for a really long time prior to the owner before us because his top teeth are worn down. I honestly can’t confirm or deny.

He is UTD on all vaccines and Coggins. Located at our property. Priced in the fours starting with a six followed by a five and two zeros. Test rides and visits are welcome!

Once a month we gather students to complete a task and then ride together. These Saturdays are for building responsibility, work ethic, and barn friendships. Thank you to these awesome kids for waking up early this morning in the cold!

I know it’s not the news we wanted to have to deliver but I am incredibly thankful for everyone who jumped in and did what needed to be done. God is still good even on the worst days. And we’re gonna get through this.

🔹BARN ANNOUNCEMENT🔹
We are switching our turn out schedules this week to daytime! We are going to try to keep our horses out as much as possible between 7 am and 7 pm. Lesson students will need to be prepared to grab their assigned horse from the pasture and possibly return them after their lesson.

Next up, Sam rides Wednesday in the Senior Hunter Under Saddle Class.

Another special day! 🩵 Hannah started riding with us this Summer and today she became a first time owner. Merlin is going to be the best partner and so spoiled. Love at first sight! Big thanks to Morgan Gudorf for reaching out to let us know Merlin was available so we could sn**ch him up!

Our new arena is OPEN! Anna got to be the first rider to put hoof prints in the sand.

We saw a need for a 3rd arena with the increase in lessons and boarders. We’re so thankful for all of our staff, clients, and horses! 🩵
