Snow day on the farm! While it is pretty outside, the chickens decided they are done with winter and ready for spring…. I agree with them!

Is that a cute little chicken in my house? Why yes it is! Introducing Feathers… on Monday evening a friend reached out to us about a chicken that someone had found wandering around the neighborhood in the snow. A very nice family took her in out of the snow and tried to find the owners but no luck. So yesterday we went and picked her up. Feathers is an extremely cute little bantam hen (like a miniature chicken). For now she is living in my house but she needed a friend, so we brought Noel inside to stay with her. Noel is our smallest chicken and is very sweet. Welcome to the flock Feathers!!

First snow of 2025! The animals are all warm and dry. The ponies are enjoying the view while listening to music in their barn. The chickens and ducks don’t want to leave their warm coops. Thankful for the girls who are trudging through the snow with me!
