We are forever grateful to have the absolute best farrier for our horses! Mike Miller Cjf is not only a great farrier but also a good friend!
It's all there. Mike Miller shod this foot in a contest at the Roadrunner Classic. Mike is everybody who begins to compete and get out of their comfort zone. When he gets to a contest he gets so nervous he completely loses his focus and does things that he doesn't even know why he is doing them. The knee jerk reaction is to not put yourself in those situations. Why stress yourself out. This is where the great divide is. It happens in certification, it happens at contests, it happens at a local vet clinic. Learning to focus and enjoy the task at hand is an art of body and soul. Learning to control your mind needs to be done whether you are in a shoeing contest or trying to raise your children. Nothing more disappointing than knowing you could do better and you just don't. You are not alone, by no means, but little victories are what get the ball rolling. Mike is a fighter! Damn he is tenacious and he has gotten to be where he is in his own head when he competes, and yes I think he is actually enjoying himself when he does compete. I think his success has rolled over into all aspects of his life. Take it as it comes and face it head on. If I had a customer move to Virginia I would hope that Mike would take it on. No Foot, no horse.
