Meet Heffy one of the newer arrivals here at S&D we are excited to announce that she may be joining the mares to be foaling this year! Having been purchasing after being exposed to a stallion we are hoping for a cute little haflinger foal!! Stayed tuned to see if this sweet girl is growing a food baby or a horse baby! But in the meantime you can book to ride Heffy or any of our other wonderful horses.

We’re always getting asked how we deal with weather here on the ranch. The only time we don’t take rides out or we put a pause in our day is during rain, wind, and heat. We don’t take rides out when it’s 95 degree and rising but we love our early morning and sunset rides during summer heat waves.

Interesting fact: the wind effects us more than the rain and heat combined

We also make exceptions to our cancellation policy due to weather conditions

Next up for Meet Us Monday is Rebeca. She has been riding for just over 26 years now, and in that time she’s tried her hand at a wide range of disciplines in both the English and Western worlds. From the jumping and dressage to sorting and obstacles, plus showing a handful of gaited horses, she’s taken most every chance she’s had to try something new. Just don’t ask her to rope anything 😂 while she loves any time in the saddle, her passion lies in jumping. When she’s not riding, you’re most likely to find her reading or getting entirely too into D&D, game nights, or debating on which is the best trilogy (it’s definitely Star Wars, although LOTR is still phenomenal). #

Managed to sneak a shot of Alejandro kicking off our Valentine’s Day celebrations. From today through the 18th, we will be scheduling all Sweetheart Rides, which come with strawberries, chocolates, Martinelli’s, and roses.
