Louie picked up his first Senior Qualifier at the Western Regional Barn Hunt Trial last weekend♡

Louie finished his RATO title on Saturday with a 1st place in his height division, and followed that up with another 1st in Open B and his first High in Class!(fastest score of all dogs running in Open in all 3 height divisions). He also qualified for Regionals next month! So proud of him!

Louie's dam, Coralwood Start Spreading The News BCAT, made her debut at the Southern California Sporting Dog Fanciers specialty show on 1/6/23 by going BOS/WB for a 5pt major over 4 specials! This was followed by another WB award for 2 more points the next day at the KC of Palm Springs. Thanks to Janice Hayes for handling her so beautifully. Frankie is owned and bred by Sallie Barton and Allison Sparks.,

Louie added a 6th title after his name on 10/30/22 by completing his RATN title in 3 tests straight, with 2 2nds and a 1st place time finish of only 26.3 seconds♡. Love this boy!

Louie also LOVES to travel. He enjoyed learning how to kayak and swim in several mountain glacier fed lakes. Deer and squirrel watching were high on his priority list.

Louie earned 3 jumps/splashes towards his Junior Dock title on Saturday, 6/24, recording 2 new personal bests of 10'2" and 2 more jumps of 10'7"! I love that he skipped right over his Novice title ...lol.

Then on Sunday, we tried a Barn Hunt clinic. He hasn't played 'find the rat' since first trying an intro lesson at 5 months old(that was 17 mos ago!). He didn't forget a thing, completing the tunnel, climbing bales 3 high, and correctly identifying the rat tube in less than 60 seconds. He was ON FIRE! He certainly loves games using his nose...lol.

Haven't updated here for a while. Louie has 4 titles after his name now: CGC, TKN, BCAT, FDC
He completed both his BCAT(beginner coursing ability test) and FDC(Farm Dog Certified) in May.
He is also working on a Dock Diving title! Not sure which he will earn first, his Novice or Junior title(DDN or DDJ)as he is now jumping over 10 feet since he first tried it back in April. He also won his first major back in May, and only needs another to complete his CH.

Been having fun practicing tracking and scenting with Louie while waiting for shows with majors that aren't hundreds of miles away. He really lives his game of 'Find the Glive'(hide and seek)

Louie was Best in Sweeps and RWD to a major at the Sporting Dogs of Southern California and Pointer Club of Southern California designated specialty show under j. Jill Warren, and WD the following day at the KC Palm Springs under j.Paula Nykiel

Proud Owner brags:
Louie went OHBOB both days at Riverside KC shows...but no points as he was the only class dog entry. However, he also earned his CGC title that weekend! To follow that up, next weekend he earned his TKN title and also passed his Therapy Dog test for TDI(Therapy Dogs International). Very proud of him. ♡

Oh...and did I mention he also has 96+ points towards his BCAT title as well? He's been a busy boy!

Took Louie, aka Coralwood Kanix Pride of the Yankees 4 Cachet to a UKC show on Sunday for some practice. He was entered in Novice Puppy(for dogs under 6 months old), and I am very proud to say he went Reserve Best Novice Puppy In Show! UKC has 2 shows each day, but it was so cold, we didn't stay for BIS judging for the 2nd show.....7:30 pm just a bit late and cold for us!
