Lot # 68 on the Pitzer Ranch sale Saturday April 27.
Matlock has been part of the family since he was a yearling and is the best horse I’ve ever owned. He is good minded athletic and passes those traits on to his foals. I have been crossing him on my Pitzer bred mares and he has really done me a good job. The only reason he is for sale is that I have kept a bunch of his daughters and need to have a new horse to cross on them. We had his feet trimmed up last weekend and decided to see how he still rode. He hasn’t seen a saddle in at least 6 years and he just rode right off. This was right after we saddled him up and made a couple circles in the round pen. You can hand breed with him, pasture breed with him or he can be collected. We just had his semen tested and the quality is really good. If you’re in the market for a new stud here’s a good one.
