Why is it important to feed a Giant Breed formula when you have a large breed such as a Great Dane, Mastif or even some Bully’s out there. WELL! Glad you asked, here are some key points!

Controlled Calcium and Phosphorus Levels:
The most important aspect is the precise balance of calcium and phosphorus, as too much calcium can lead to abnormal bone growth and joint problems in giant breeds.

Lower Calorie Density:
Giant breed puppies often need less calories per pound of body weight than smaller breeds due to their slower metabolism, so their food is formulated to be less calorie-dense.

Larger Kibble Size:
The kibble pieces in giant breed food are usually larger to accommodate their larger mouths and facilitate proper chewing.

Joint Health Support:
Some giant breed formulas may contain additional nutrients like glucosamine and chondroitin to support joint health, which can be susceptible to stress due to their large size.

It’s that time of year again! We are starting to get the store Christmas ready soon! If you remember, last year we asked for our customers to send pictures of their pets to go on our Christmas tree. We are asking again so send in those pics!

This year we will be making Georgie’s 2024 Keepsake Wood Ornaments of your pet that you can pick up after Christmas! We are trying to keep the pet photos local so we don’t run out of materials or have pets on our tree that “don’t even go here” 😂
