This is what Gracie does every time I’m giving Legend attention. 🤣 She is so selfish 😭 #fourpawsdown #pitbullsofinstagram #pitbulls
I couldn’t figure out how this blanket got out of the kennel and onto a cot across the room. Then I saw this…..😭❤️❤️❤️ #goldendoodlesofinstagram #goldendoodle #fourpawsdown #pitbullsofinstagram #doggiedaycare
You’re talking too much. I don’t do a lot of talking during the training process. “Sit Fluffy. Sit Fluffy…Fluffy I said SIT!” That’s generally what I see and hear with people and their dogs. If you’ve got to ask 5 times….your dog doesn’t understand what you’re asking him/her to do, or somewhere down the line you’ve inadvertently taught them that they have an option as to whether they follow through with a command or not. I like to teach hand signals in conjunction with an action (command) before naming it. By the time I name a command, the dogs are already consistently responding to the hand signal and fully understand the action that I’m asking them to perform. #stoptalking #fourpawsdown #pitbullsofinstagram #dogtraining #pitbulls
These pups are going to sleep good tonight. They spent most of the day with me at a client’s house with her dog. The park is around the corner from my client so we went there for awhile. I’m back at my clients house and they are already asleep. 😭 #fourpawsdown #pitbullsofinstagram #pitbulls #dogtraining

So I’m sitting here crocheting and I suddenly realize it’s too quiet. I look up and I don’t see Captain, Siggie or Pike. I stand up and this is what I see. They were laying down until I stood up and picked my phone up. They all went in the same kennel and layed down. 😭😭🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️ #fourpawsdown #pitbullsofinstagram #poodlesofinstagram #puppies
I talk about the “Place” command a lot. About how important it is and its many uses. Well the “Wait” command is another command that I use just as much. Not just with my own dogs, but with my daycare and boarder pups as well. The “Wait” command is not a positional command; which means the dogs don’t have to be in a sit or down position. Although many dogs will sit by default…which is fine. Nor is it a command used for duration like the “stay” command. I use Wait a lot when letting dogs outside. I don’t do chaos and 6 dogs rushing the door and knocking me over would be chaos. 🤣 #fourpawsdown #dogtraining #doggiedaycare #pitbulls #pitbullsofinstagram #frenchbulldog #bulldog #doodles

Y’all….I am in love with this little teddy bear! He is so adorable! 🥰 His name is “Dude” and he’s 8. Today is his first day of daycare. We’re just doing 2 hours today so that he’s not overwhelmed. I also had all of the dogs sit nicely and give him the space and opportunity to explore without pressure. He is doing great! Makes me miss my little dogs. ❤️ #fourpawsdown #doggiedaycare #pitbulls #pitbullsofinstagram #yorkies #yorkiesofinstagram #poodlesofinstagram #doodles #doodlesofinstagram
One of my specialties in Dog Training, is working with fearful, timid and reactive dogs. I have plenty of success stories to back this up. I’ve had dogs brought to me that could not even be around other dogs due to being fearful or reactive. Those dogs are now, confident dogs who thrive no matter where they are. I see 2 different types of clients. Those that listen to my assessment of their pups and follow through with with my recommendations….these are the clients whose pups succeed and thrive. Then there are the clients who listen to my assessment but do NOT follow through with my recommendations. Mind you, the recommendation is not always for Dog Training. More often than not, I recommend starting with short daycare days….usually starting with just 2 hours on less busy days. I am essentially still training and conditioning their pup, while only charging for daycare. These clients that do not follow through ALWAYS, inevitably have something come up where they are in need of boarding. Then I end up with a poor pup who is scared to death and/or reactive. And every time that I see these pups, they are worse and worse. This is so unfair to the pup. A pup who could have EASILY been helped. Why people choose to leave their pups in this unstable state of mind still baffles me. I go out of my way to try to help these poor pups, while at the same time trying to make it easy for those that may not be able to afford full dog training. But I can not care more about your dog than you do. I say all of this to say, “going forward, if you are THAT client, who has made no effort to follow my recommendations, then find yourself in need of boarding or daycare, I will not be able to accommodate you.” There is no excuse for a dog to have to live their lives in a constant state of panic and fear when there is help being offered to you. Here is a video of “Coco” from today. Her owner is a new client. Coco was recently adopted and was never socialized by her previous owners

The people that I am referring to in this post, know who they are….
