aka "A.P.P.E.A.L."- Helping the local animals by connecting the human community

The purpose of this organization is to protect, preserve and enrich the lives of animals in our community. We strive to create a more compassionate place for animals through community awareness, support and education.
* By helping animals remain with their families during a time of hardship or behavioral occurrence, we can reduce the number of abandoned or surrendered animals.
* By education with

in the community we can enrich and preserve animal lives and increase support for shelters and rescue organizations.
* By promotion of adoption options we will increase the number of re-homed animals.
* By humane education programs we can teach children the importance of care and support for the animal community.
* By offering a centralized location for information on animal training, behavior, low cost wellness and spay/neuter services, adoption option organizations, and other relative information and resources we can increase the ease of information for future and current pet owners and centralize shelter and rescue organization information which will aide in many aspects of preserving and enriching animal lives.
* By education about and support for population and wellness controlled feral cat colonies we will reduce the number of unwanted feral litters, assist with rehabilitation and homing of some feral cats thus reducing the number of cats trapped and euthanized.
* By seeking support in the form of grants and corporate donations we can provide a more consistent and enriched care for animals waiting new homes and help support animals that have a medical need that may otherwise mean they would be euthanized.

I have a great friend amd rescuer who has suffered several pet losses and foster losses because she has a big heart and has older babies and one with some issues.
Financially this is a hardship. She has one elderly pup who will not be with them much longer and last night she lost her horse. A special horse to her she has had a very long time. It was just another blow to her and her husband and another expense on the books.
If you can spare just $5.
Or even a $1. It would be so much appreciated. The cost of the vet last night and still has to pay for someone with back hoe to come for burial.
The vet has a balance as well from pups and kitties.
If you can afford anything at all please donate to her paypal or if you prefer message me and I can give you vet info to make donation on the bill.

We will be setting up a new and gently used pet items store. We will be partnering with Journey For Love & More Sanctuary
Sales will fund both non profit groups and we hope to expand our offerings. Initially we will do a small on line store.

Remember, humans created the roads not the animals. They don’t know to stay out of the road or the dangers of vehicles. They are just trying to adapt in a world we have taken over.
When your driving be aware of your surroundings and what the possibilities could be. Especially in country road areas.

Did a second run of donations today. Good thing I got the heavier duty shocks
Turkeys, ham and fish delivered for rehabbers.
About 770lbs of meat for the rehabbers who are swamped with critters.

UPDATE......delivered and met some wonderful rehabber and had an opportunity to see some of the babies in their care, learned alot. Thanks Meredith Broadhurst , Evelyn and Evelyns Wildlife for the education and all you do Heading out shortly with donations that were expired and not ok for pet rescues. Evelyn' s Wildlife is gearing up for baby season and this will help kick off baby season supply a little. Food, treats and handmade toys all loaded and ready to go.
