We learned today that this coming Friday, August 2nd, that the property management will be making some very needed repairs to the parking lot. This means that y’all will unfortunately not be able to park directly in front of the clinic. We will still be open, with the minor inconvenience of parking in the middle of the lot or on the sides of the building. We appreciate the understanding.

I wanted to thank my lovely, loyal clients and their fur babies for making most days that I work such a joy. I want to apologize for those who were there today for what happened and thank them for their support when someone became so aggressive and abusive toward us. I was only trying to help the puppy that was seen on emergency today. This is what it was often like being an ER vet for twenty years before I came here. These encounters happened often in that setting and I do not miss that part of it. I so enjoy the multi-generation families we see on a regular basis and I truly enjoy medicine and helping in an emergency. It is always my best effort to fix whatever the problem is that presents. Sometimes I do not have the answers but will always try my best to get them. That’s what I tried to do today, but I also will try to keep us safe from people who become aggressive and abusive. Thankfully they are rare.

Today is a prime example of why we recommend heartworm and flea preventions year round. It is going to be in the mid to upper 70s today! Remember that heartworms are carried by mosquitoes and prevention is easy to give, a delicious treat just once a month.

All right guys, last day of the work week for us. We will be open 8:30-12:00 today. Doc and I (Maria) are doing a pretty great job of keeping things moving but we are slated to be super busy this morning. Patience is a wonderful thing, if you call and don’t get an answer wait a few and try again or use the email ([email protected]) We are hopeful that we will be closer to regular operating conditions next week.

Things are looking up! We have got more support today. If you could continue to utilize the email ([email protected]) if you can't get through on the phone that would be great! Healing thoughts and prayers for our staff are much appreciated.

Editing to say, it won’t be as bright as we thought it would be today. Please be patient, and we definitely need those prayers. Use the email, if you come into the clinic to be seen or pick up meds today just have a seat and we will help you as soon as we can.

We would like to thank our clients for sticking with us and rolling with the punches during this last year of curbside craziness. We are closer to being able to, with restrictions, open our doors to you again. Curbside has taught us some important lessons we never knew we needed to learn, but most of all it has taught us that most of you are kind and caring. It has been challenging to say the least. The weather wasn't always pleasant, the parking has been an issue and we have have missed our one on one time with you. Again, we thank you for understanding as we move forward together.
