🙏 Can you help Farley? 🙏 please share 🙏

Farley is a senior Shih Tzu poodle mix who is visually impaired. He was rescued from the Norfolk animal shelter. He was initially adopted but returned because when the family took him to the vet they thought he had cancer. The vet told them he was covered in LIPOMAS…the family heard LYMPHOMA and returned him!

Our rescue saved him from probable euthanasia in the shelter. He was in a foster home, saw the vet, had his vision evaluated and then was adopted. Unfortunately, the family returned him because he was not really fond of the children after he went home with them. He probably couldn’t see them clearly and was scared of the sudden movements of the children. He’s never bitten anyone. He just doesn’t want to be handled with quickness.

Since then he has gone to an all adult foster home. He tolerates older children who respect dogs and understand his needs. He eats prescription food to control his weight. He wears a belly band to help keep him from marking. He likes his two meals a day, large fluffy bed, interaction on his terms and a fenced yard to leisurely explore.

Will you help Farley? Would you provide a forever home for him? He’s such a sweet boy who needs a loving home.

Our fosters are THE BEST! Sprouts foster mom schedules outside exercise pen time for her so she isn’t cooped up all the time! Thanks foster mom! We know Sprout loves you for letting her get some fresh air! And WE love you too!

Sprout is looking for a new home. She is currently undergoing physical therapy and needs to be spayed. But, soon she will be ready for adoption. She is a fighter! She’s loving and wants to play with the resident dogs in her foster home! Foster mom says she LOVES pampering this little nugget! Nothing is going to hold back this little girl!

Miss Nelli is a sweet lady with a loving disposition. She is adjusting to life as a pet and enjoying the attention. She is little shy but that is to be expected. All she has known is puppy mill life. Surprisingly she is enjoying this new life-style. She is still very new to us but so far has been a joy! She LOVES being outside and a fenced yard will really be a plus for this elegant lady. Princess 👑 Fiona is such a sweet girl! She is transitioning to foster care and learning to be a pet. She follows foster mom everywhere! She loves foster dad too! Her favorite pastime is exploring the wonderful smells in the yard. She is unsure of sidewalks and concrete right now so a fenced yard would really be a plus for her. Mr Vinny is transitioning well to foster life. He is going to be 18 weeks old on Monday. He is such a happy little boy! His tail never stops wagging. He has had many changes over the last three days, and has handled it beautifully!

Vinny was born and raised in a puppy mill. He is learning to trust people and this new type of living. He gets stiff when he is picked up but does relax and enjoy the gentle love offered after a short time. Vinny has grown up without the love and touch of humans. He’s only known other dogs for love and comfort.

Vinny LOVES other dogs though. In his foster home he watches all the resident dogs, following their lead. He literally lights up when he sees ANY dog so a friend in his new home will be a huge help.

Little Miss Sprout saw the orthopedic vet this week. Right now she does not need surgery. The fractures are old and healing. She does need 6-8 weeks of physical therapy. Follow her journey as recuperates and gets stronger.

Hello from little Sprout! Since leaving the shelter, she is feeling so much better. She is on pain medicines and will see the vet tomorrow concerning her orthopedic needs. But in the last few days she’s been in rescue she has become so loving and sweet.

Once we can get her patched up, she’s going to make a wonderful pet. We can’t wait to give her a bath, get her groomed and most importantly get her the orthopedic treatment she needs to recover and find her forever home.
