An Update for all of our Customers:
Hi friends!
We hope everyone had a joyful and safe Holiday Season and are excited to welcome everyone back to daycare!
You may have heard on the news that "Ollies Law" has now taken effect in Massachusetts. In the simplest terms, Ollie's Law establishes a committee responsible for creating standards and regulations for commercial boarding and daycare kennels such as ours. While the committee and regulations are still being developed, there were some new changes that we must implement.
Effective immediately, we are now required by law to possess a copy of every individual's Dog License as well as a formal Rabies Certificate. We cannot accept receipts from the vet visit as proof of rabies.
Additionally, all dogs are supposed to have both the dog license and rabies tag displayed on their collar while they are in our care (in our case- collars will continue to be removed and hung in the lobby for safety purposes, but the tags do need to be on site).
Our front desk staff will be enforcing this strictly as our kennel license can be revoked if we are not in compliance with the new regulations. Please provide us with a copy of your dog’s current Rabies Certificate as well as your 2025 Dog License as soon as possible to ensure your dog can continue to attend daycare. The best way to get us this info would be to upload the paperwork under “file uploads” in the owner portal or email it over to [email protected]
We understand it may take some time to acquire and upload Dog Licenses as most of them expired at the end of December. We are able to give some leeway as we adjust to this new policy, however if we do not receive the necessary paperwork by 2/1 your dog will not be able to attend daycare or boarding.
As the committee for “Ollie’s Law” is formed we anticipate there will be more regulations and changes that we will have to uphold but will keep our customers updated once we learn more in the coming months. We understand this is an inconvenience and appreciate your compliance!
Thank you!
