🚨🐾 Thundercats, Ho! 🐾🚨

Today, two of Boomer's buddies, Cheetara and Pumyra, came in for their spays! These fiery orange kittens brought all their Thundercat ferocity, but love and kisses conquered them in the end. 😻✨

For those who know their Thundercats, these fierce sisters take after their namesakes—Cheetara, the quick and agile warrior, and Pumyra, the fierce healer! They’ve officially joined the Purrito Burrito club and are well on their way to recovery. 🌯🐱

And let’s not forget Cowboy! 🤠 Our sweet, loving boy was neutered today and was the true embodiment of a gentle cowboy, trotting into the sunset of recovery. 💙🐾

It’s baby Copperhead season, and there are a few fascinating things about these snakes that are worth noting. First, Copperheads typically reproduce in the spring, with most giving birth between late August and early September—right around football season.

One striking feature of baby Copperheads is their bright yellow tail, which sets them apart from adults. This distinctive feature, however, is temporary and fades as they grow. Despite their small size and different appearance, baby Copperheads are just as dangerous as adults, as they are born with fully functional fangs and venom as potent as an adult’s.

While many snakes lay eggs, Copperheads are ovoviviparous, meaning the eggs incubate inside the mother’s body, and the young are born live. After mating in the spring, females give birth to anywhere from 2 to 18 live young.

So, as you enjoy the cooler weather and football games this season, remember that the smallest things can be the most surprising. Stay aware, stay safe, and appreciate these tiny but mighty creatures from a respectful distance.

Our girl Janice has checked in at Boomer Vet for her two-week stay, and we couldn't be more excited! 😻 Weighing in at a fabulous 24 pounds, this sweet chonker is the queen of the loaf position—it's her go-to move!

Janice is all about those snuggles, naps, and, of course, treats. 🛏️🍗 Every time she stays with us, our hearts grow a little bigger, and our laps a little warmer. We’ll be soaking up all the love we can while she's here because we know we'll miss her big-time when she heads home.

Ganesh, a courageous dog imported all the way from India, is now recovering after surgery here at our clinic. Today, we neutered him and removed an ulcerated tumor from his a**s. To help keep him comfortable, we administered Nocita, a long-acting numbing medication, which should ease his pain in those sensitive areas!

As Ganesh wakes up, our team member Alexis is cuddling with him, making sure he feels safe and loved during this time. We’re committed to giving him the best care as he continues on his road to recovery. Thank you to everyone who has been thinking of him—he’s a tough little guy with a lot of love surrounding him! 🐕❤️

🎉 Incredible news! Roxy, who was struggling with parvo, made a dramatic turnaround thanks to a monoclonal antibody treatment. In just 3 hours, we saw a huge improvement, and by 10 PM, she was acting like a healthy, happy puppy again—no more vomiting and her poops are back to normal. It’s amazing to see her so lively and energetic! 🐶💪

We wanted to share some news about this adorable pup Roxy. She’s been diagnosed with parvo, but we’re taking an advanced approach to her treatment. Roxy is receiving monoclonal antibodies here at Boomer Vet, a cutting-edge therapy that helps fight this tough illness.
