Thanksgiving is about good food, good company and good pets. You may want to give your furry friend a taste of something that’s on your plate, but it’s a good idea to make sure it’s safe for them to eat first. Luckily, we’ve made a list of holiday foods to enjoy (yum!) and holiday foods to avoid (no-no!) for your pet.

Today Dr. Robinson and his vet assistants, Masyn & Abbey did a medical procedure on a 3 year old ball python named “Baby”! 🐍

She had some scabbing on her belly from a contact burn from the heating source in her enclosure…

Dr.Robinson gave “Baby” a soak & swim in a tub for about 15 minutes prior to giving her a light sedative and pain blocker.

Once she was nice and relaxed they were able to address the scabs and it cleaned up nicely!
Now it should have a better chance to heal.

“Baby” did amazing for this procedure!

We know that snakes can be scary to some, but they still deserve the best quality care same as dogs & cats. ❤️

Did you know Dr.Robinson saw reptiles?!

With Thanksgiving in a couple of days, we wanted to remind you about the potential dangers of feeding table scraps to your pets this holiday! 🦃

While those puppy-dog eyes can be hard to resist, many traditional Thanksgiving foods can be harmful or even dangerous for pets.

Here’s what to avoid from your holiday plate:

🦴 Turkey Bones
Cooked bones can easily splinter and cause choking or serious GI obstructions. Stick to boneless, plain turkey if you want to share a small treat.

🥣 Gravy
Delicious for us… not so much for them. Gravy is often too rich and fatty for pets, which can upset their stomach or lead to pancreatitis.

🌽 Corn on the Cob
Corn kernels are fine, but the cob itself doesn’t break down in the digestive tract and can cause a dangerous blockage.

🥘 Stuffing & Casseroles
Many recipes contain onions and garlic, both toxic to pets. Even small amounts can cause health issues.

Keeping your pets safe means a happier holiday for everyone! If you’re unsure about a food, feel free to reach out or stick to pet-safe treats instead. ❤️🐾
