Say hello to Sophie, one of our board and train pups. She has been here two weeks. Her owners came out to see her progress this weekend and were so happy with how calm she was and biddable she was in such a short time.

Our show team is in Springfield, MO again this week. Today Blake (Saluki) earned his first Group placement - 2nd place in the hound group. Kari is Blake’s co-breeder and this year he’s been shown exclusively by Brooke until today. Brooke’s arm injury has her somewhat sidelined but she was there to watch this win. There are 3 more days of showing for the entire team. Congratulations to Blake - you made your whole family proud today.

Puppies Puppied Puppies! Visiting, socializing, and evaluating puppies is a bonus part to our job. Breeders are the backbone in the sport of dogs, and we are surrounded by wonderful breeders. These Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies belong to our longest client/friend relationship - Elaine Hudson.

This past weekend we attended AKC dog shows in Shawnee, OK. Our dogs earned Grand Champion and Championship points as well of Certificate of Merit points - plus Brooke Adams earned a Best Junior Handler. We enjoyed time with our friends and extended dog show family.

Robert McDow’s passion is retrievers. He would duck hunt using dogs and developed a passion for retrievers and the training to get them to the highest level of the sport. Along that path he became an AKC Hunt Test judge and actually judged the 2023 Master National. He was worked with many top trainers and has developed his own training program for retrievers. I have attended 2 of his judging assignments and am loving watching the work and the positivity in the sport. His training starts with obedience work and we are now able to do in home training for obedience/conformation/retreiving.

Does our new direction include handling dogs? Of course! This collage shows our winners from dog shows last weekend at the AKC shows in Enid, OK. This weekend we will be at Shawnee, OK. Fun Fact - my team has helped finish close to 500 champions and grand championship titles. Can anyone quess the top two breeds who have put titles on?

We have had 2 wonderful weekends in the show ring - a group win, 3 group placements - many Grand Championship and Championship points. We have 3 AkC show circuits left for 2022, looking forward to continuing showing nice dogs for even nicer owners!
