there will be no daycare services 2/18/25 due to estimated wind chill & blizzard like conditions. we hope to resume normal operations Wednesday, 2/19 but will make a decision tomorrow based on weather reports. boarding hours tues 2/18 will be limited to 8-11a & 3-6:30pm. hope everyone stays safe + warm!!

breaking news: there’s an outbreak at fetch & stay. we have all caught the love bug. symptoms include but are not limited to puppy dog eyes, extreme urges to cuddle, & wanting to eat all the treats. you’ve been warned. happy valentine’s day !!🐞💌❣️💋🐕‍🦺🌹

what do you mean it was 60 degrees just last week?? in efforts to not freeze our tails off (see what we did there) - days that are frigid we implement our indoor daycare spaces a whole lot more. in order to do this safely we do have to limit daycare spots since the indoor areas are not as large as our outdoor yards. this allows pups to still be able to play safely & sufficiently inside as they would outside. however - we still allow them to go outside intermittently. if you prefer to keep your pups at home just let us know & we will gladly get it switched or cancelled for you. stay warm out there 🥶

there will be no daycare services Thursday, 1/9!! boarding will operate 8-11am & 3:30 to 6:30pm only. safety of pets & staff are our main priority so we have decided to cancel daycare & operate boarding at limited hours - this will allow most of our staff to stay safe & off the roads. the staff reporting to care for boarding pups have vehicles equipped for snowy conditions, are comfortable driving, &/or are those closest to the facility. we know this might be an inconvenience - thank you for your understanding & stay safe + warm! ⛄️🩵

changes in weather & what it means for your dog’s immune system 🦠😷 like with people this time of year can mean sniffling, sneezing, colds, flus, allergy like symptoms, & upper respiratory infections for pups as well. with the weather & air pressure constantly changing it can sometimes be impossible for your dogs natural antibodies to keep up hence why your dog may be more susceptible to acquiring a bacterial or viral infection or exhibit a few symptoms. you may have heard the term “kennel cough” while it sounds scary or like something your dog can only acquire in a “kennel” situation it is an umbrella term that encompasses many upper respiratory infections your dog may battle aka a doggy cold or flu. in most cases these are viral infections & can either run their course (you may not even see symptoms) or occasionally may require some anti cough meds, antibiotics, or steroids from your vet (think doggy robittussin or doggy z packs). Like kids at human daycare - dogs can share germs with each other & unfortunately this season the risk can increase & your dogs immune system may not be able to fight it off without a few days of coughing or sniffling. here at f&s we do our best & use top of the line antibacterial & disinfecting products & protocols to ensure we are reducing the risk of germs that may come in with a pup, however again like kids at daycare we cannot complete eliminate their exposure. to ensure your pet has the best chance at reducing their risk we highly recommend ensuring they are always vaccinated routinely (vaccines will reduce the risk of infection but not prevent completely) & encourage some form of multivitamin or supplement to aid their immune system. we hope this was informative & everyone - humans included - stays happy & healthy this winter!!
