One of our kittens was stolen, and we need your help!

On Wednesday, June 26th at around 2:30PM, two people walked into PetSmart at NW 63rd & May with a large bag/purse. They walked directly towards our Adoption Area in the store. The woman went back to her car once, and then they both ran out of the store.

We have seen security footage of the couple coming in and out of the store, and we know the kennel lock was broken and the kitten was placed in the bag while they were in the store. When they left with the terrified kitten, he tried to get away and jumped out of the bag near the store doors but was quickly scooped back up by the couple.

We are concerned as to what these people’s intentions are for this vulnerable animal, and we’d like to identify the people who stole him and get him returned as quickly as possible!

The video we've seen is grainy, but we’re hopeful that someone can help the police identify the people based on what we know. The woman was wearing a black tank top with a white Nike symbol on it and cutoff jean shorts with holes. Her hair was back in a ponytail or bun, and she has tattoos on her upper right arm. The man she was with had on a dark shirt and shorts. He had a black ballcap with a graphic on the front and what looked like Hey Dude shoes. The man had tattoos on both calves. They are likely both Caucasian. They were parked in the handicap spot in front of the store and were driving either an SUV or truck.

Our hope is that someone might have been at PetSmart around this time and noticed something, or perhaps someone might have a dashcam that would provide us with more information on the couple or the car. And we are certain that someone in our community knows who these individuals are!

In case you know of anyone who has acquired a new kitten in the last few days, the cat we’re looking for is a small male named Trixx. He is a twelve-week-old black/grey tabby with white on his paws, face, and neck. He is microchipped and has been reported stolen to the chip company.

We appreciate your help so much as we desperately try to locate this kitten.

The police case number for this incident is 24-45946.

Thank you Norman!

Saturday, March 16th, will be our last day at our Norman store in Brookhaven Village. We have enjoyed the 5 years we have been in Norman and helping our Norman customers.
We absolutely loved getting to know you and your pets. We are incredibly sad that this chapter is closing, but we hope you will make the short journey 10 miles north to see us at our south store location: 11649 S. Western, OKC 73170 – Greenway Shopping Center. Jenna & Angie will be joining our South location, so you’ll still get to see these amazing people, plus you’ll get to know Christian & Connie – who are just as fabulous!

Thank you again for a great 5 years in Norman – we look forward to continuing to give you amazing service at our South OKC location.
