Spending a few hours today getting certified in pet CPR and first aid so that I can help your pet if there is ever an emergency situation while they’re in my care.

This Sunday, you can attend a Pet CPR & First Aid course--(you may remember we hosted this very course last year!)

"This class is designed for anyone with an interest in “pawtecting” the safety and wellness of animals! The class is taught by a 30+ year seasoned pre-hospital emergency medical care provider and educator that emphasizes "take your pet to the vet" throughout the class. This highly interactive training (NO videos or slides) features an emphasis on HANDS-ON skills practice to ensure proficiency in the life saving skills taught!"

Roxie’s Barkery will be hosting this class taught by Paws N Claws 911 at Hotel Downstreet in North Adams Ma on July 21st. The class is $60 per person and includes a handbook, your certificate, and an emergency muzzle.

*Pre-registration and payment is required. No on site registration or payment is accepted.

*With the exception of bonafide service dogs, no live pets are permitted in class. Every student will be provided with a demo pet and the proper training tools.

Whew!!! Dog Days of Summer! As part of a statewide effort, we're waiving adoption fees of all dogs next week. We're closed to the public on Monday, so from Tuesday, July 16th through Sunday July 21st, you can adopt a dog who is at least one year old for free with an approved application. Thanks to a grant from Best Friends Animal Society we've joined forces with MSPCA-Angell,Worcester Animal Rescue League, Dakin Humane Society, Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center and City of Boston Animal Care and Control to help find homes for dogs across Massachusetts! Would you like to work with people to help animals? Berkshire Humane Society is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable team player with excellent communication skills to work Mondays and possibly another day in our kennel. Duties include working with a team of dedicated animal lovers in caring for homeless shelter dogs and include feeding and walking dogs, cleaning their kennels and helping prepare them for adoption. Candidates should be physically capable of: working in all kinds of weather, bending over, lifting 50 pounds, climbing step ladders and spending long periods of time on their feet. Punctuality and ability to follow instructions are a must. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are also required. Hourly pay starts at $16.00.

As of May 30th Pooches will be relocating back to the original location at 145 Eagle Street in North Adams. (Behind Dominos, near Artsy Avenue).

Unfortunately we have a major septic system issue and it can no longer handle the amount of water being used.

Nothing will change as far as appointments and such, just a different location. If you have ANY questions or concerns, please send me a message here or text 413-664-7652.

I hope that you will all follow me as you did during the last move so that I can continue to beautify your fur babies!

Thank you all so much! I am currently booked until the 3rd week of May! I highly recommend booking as soon as possible, especially June and July. If you're able to, I recommend booking 2-3 appointments to ensure you get what you want.
