Charlie🧸 was a nervous😰 boy when he first came to daycare. He was hesitant to come in the house🏡 and shy around his new friends as well as with me. A few playgroups🐕🐩 later, and he runs🏃♂️ inside at every drop-off. He feels right at home, super comfortable and excited to play with old and new friends.

Tsuki the Golden and Lucca the Foster, a love story❤️

One of the best feelings as a foster parent is being witness to your pup gaining confidence, learning how to be a dog and coming out of their shell.
.
By Lucca's body language, it's clear he wants to play but also still feels somewhat apprehensive. His ears are often down and back, as he glances over at me just as a little kid would at the playground to make sure mom is still there. Whenever Tsuki jumps forward, he tends to back off or run away as he's unsure of what will come next.
.
Tsuki, however, at just six months is so perceptive and understands their size difference as well as the signals Lucca is sending her. She encourages him to be playful while still giving him space and allowing him the time he needs to feel comfortable and confident. Anytime she senses his hesitation, she backs off, teaching him that he may move around freely, as puppy playtime is fun and safe.

It's truly rewarding to see a foster who came into your arms feeling anxious, scared of his own shadow blossom into a happy and poised social butterfly.

Fostering is endlessly rewarding🥰. It's given my life so much meaning. Most of the puppies🐩 I've fostered have been adopted in under 2 weeks! I've had some that were under my care for only 2 days before getting approved adopters. It's much simpler than people think, it's free, the organizations cover any vet expenses💸 if a consult is needed and you get to be part of the story📖 of how a pup made it to their forever home🏡! It's the best gig ever😍🥰.
