Snowy came to visit our grooming store back in April. She was in very rough condition. Snowy’s hair was very matted and dirty. So, we went about her appointment, as usual, to clean her up. That’s where the story takes a curve. When Snowy’s owner came to retrieve her, the owner revealed that this grooming appointment was to clean her up so Snowy could be surrendered to the shelter. The owner admitted that they weren’t able to properly care for Snowy. At this moment, I intervened and offered to take possession of Snowy to prevent her from heading to the shelter. Myself & the entire staff of Puppies & Tattoos have since rewritten Snowy’s story by giving her the proper care and attention she needs. Snowy has lived with Elizabeth and myself since. Truthfully, I don’t know if we’ll be able to keep her forever, but for now, she’s become a part of the family. It’s at this time, 4+ months since we met Snowy, that I decided it was time to show Snowy off. Her hair has really grown in and she exudes proud Bichon. Snowy is a spunky little 9 year old with a craving for the outdoors, attention and string cheese. We’ll continue to share updates of Snowy and her new life. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to rehabilitate Snowy’s hair and mental health. She says “woof” ❤️ If you or anyone you know is having trouble caring for your dog or cat, you are welcome to contact our store in private for any help we can provide. 🚨 Big News 🚨 Puppies & Tattoos is happy to share that we’ve partnered with to provide grooming and care for the shelter’s pets as they prepare for adoption! We met with Bob, shelter manager, to discuss and plan the use of both of our grooming locations and future mobile van. Our services to the shelter will include grooming care for dogs and cats as well as sharing information on our social pages so you can have the opportunity to adopt some of these pets in need of new homes. Puppies & Tattoos is proud to be the grooming service provider for Bergen County Animal Shelter 🐶❤️
