This is how we trellised the seminole / cherokee tan pumpkin. We literally have this one big one still in our pantry. They really do store up to a year inside after harvest! 🎃

Its resistant to the vine borer & is considered a survivor plant. The Indians grew them up the trees as vines.

Some Garden chores this week!

Planted money maker tomato plants 🍅 They are the only tomato plants besides cherry tomato plants that take our high heat.

Planted cherokee tan pumpkins 🎃
.
Planted daily seed
.
Transplanted some basil cuttings
.
Planted Roselle
.
Planted Spaghetti Squash
.
Planted hales best canteluope
Cucumbers 🥒 needed extra top soil conditioner as a mulch.
Water twice a day in this heat early morning late evening.

Caterpillars enjoyed some Swiss chard. I found them at night.

I put up garden netting to keep moths and butterflies out of the hoop house. They were laying eggs on the Kale and Collards
.
It's been super high temps this week.
.
We are having to water either deeply once a day or twice a day for Cucumbers, corn, okra. Watermelon & canteluope plants.

Finished a long hot day mowing with hubby
