Meet Laiken!

Laiken started with us as a kennel tech operator and spent some of her time in the grooming room. She quickly became requested so often for grooming she decided to follow her passion and groom for us full time! Laiken is driven and passionate about everything she does. At 22 years old, she’s few and far between and we are so lucky she’s apart of our work family!

Our June Dog of the Month is KENDA! Here are some fun facts!

-He is a daycare regular while mom is taking care of humans (she’s a nurse) :)
-We use Kenda as a temp eval dog for newbies as his temperament is good with all dogs, even littles!
-Kenda is playful, easy going, always happy!

Meet Mellody! She's been immersed in pet care for most of her life, but her journey as a vet tech began when she was 12, making it 17 years of experience. Growing up, her family always fostered animals, creating a household filled with a variety of pets—fish, dogs, cats, geckos, rabbits, hamsters, lovebirds, and even a parrot!

People naturally turned to her for advice and assistance with their animals. She's become the go-to person for animal care, having spent years seeking help from vets for her own pets. For instance, when her pet gumball was consistently ill and struggling to gain weight despite veterinary reassurances, she persisted.

Mellody ultimately discovered that he had a meat protein issue, requiring a diet limited to salmon. Her dedication extends to every animal that crosses her path, whether it's aggressive or sick. Mellody pours her heart into her work, always finding a way to help, even when it's challenging🖤

When Cash arrived, he was filled with fear. He would retreat to the farthest corner of his kennel, shaking and hiding. His first encounter with other dogs was met with avoidance, as he ran away from any canine companion and even from us. He was unwilling to let anyone, or anything come close to him, displaying his fear through trembling and fearful eyes.

Spending over an hour in the outdoor run, I reassured him that he could trust us and that our facility would be a fun place for him. Eventually, he began to let go of some of his fear and allowed me to guide him back to his kennel for rest. Fast forward a month, Cash now eagerly enters The Ritz Pawton almost every weekday, full of excitement and happiness, ready to embrace the day. He confidently introduces himself to other dogs in the playard and actively seeks out playtime with them.

From a timid, trembling puppy to a dog who eagerly runs into our arms, Cash's growth and newfound confidence are a testament to the positive impact we strive to have on every pet in our care. He embodies the values of The Ritz Pawton and exemplifies the experience we aim to provide for every dog entrusted to us. We aspire to be more than just a place for your dog to stay; we want to create an unforgettable experience that makes us their favorite destination.

Julie is married to her wonderful husband Mitch and together they share their sweet pup Jameson! Fun fact: Jameson was The Ritz Pawton’s very first grooming client! Julie had such a great experience she wanted to be apart of the team and we are so fortunate to have her!
