Update 8/7:
Our evacuee dogs that we are housing at the Aiken Fairgrounds are doing great. They are happy, fed, dry, and getting a lot of love.
At this time we are good on donations and should be able to make it through with what we have. If that changes we will post an update. Unless things change and we need to help more dogs we will be fine with what we have.
We do still need volunteers to come out and help. You can come for how ever long you can spare. There is always something to do with the biggest need being early morning. afternoon, evening and then around 9 pm to help with feeding, walking and cleaning crates. You don't have to schedule, you can just show up. Over 18 please.
There is no way we could do this without the wonderful community support we have had. You guys have been AMAZING!!!! THANK YOU FROM THE WHOLE HEART!! YOU HAVE MADE THIS POSSIBLE. It is not over we still have a few days to go but we wanted to thank you all right now. We have been overwhelmed by your generosity.
As some of you may remember, TSK has set up an evacuation center in the past for pets needing a temporary place to go due to owners needing to evacuate for a hurricane.
As the day has progressed , we have seen an increased need for this again as Tropical storm Debby approaches.
With that said, we are asking anyone and everyone to help us get this put together asap.
We have secured a building at the Aiken Fairgrounds (561 May Royal Dr, Aiken, SC 29801) and will be there to accept donations from AT LEAST 9am-5pm Monday (tomorrow) . Follow the orange cones when you enter and we are in the ARTS AND CRAFTS building. We will be releasing more times and information as we get this going , get volunteers, etc.
We NEED volunteers! All volunteers must be 18 or older. Please inbox us for further information.
