As cases of avian influenza are climbing, we want to share this information to spread awareness.

In addition to it being confirmed in humans, avian influenza cases have now been confirmed in felines.

We ask everyone be cautious if they feed their cat a raw diet, if their cat is indoor/outdoor, or they have housemates that go outside.

Infected birds will shed the virus through f***s, nasal secretions, and saliva.

Signs of avian influenza in cats include: fever, lethargy, heavy discharge from the eyes and nose, respiratory distress, and neurological issues.
